These aren't really appropriate for the creators of the mod so I decided to post them here.
1. I have had a look through the units in the editor and discovered some completed but unused "toll" officers and swat members. How would I go about adding these to the usable units in missions? (At this point in time, if they are pointed too in the unit xml, the unit doesn't appear in the units menu ingame)
2. I would like to add some vehicles from another mod. Is it the same process as installing new vehicles?3. Which script (if it is a script) handles which vehicles contain LA mod equipment? I cannot get ballistic shields from any vehicle (a previously known problem).

In reference to the boat question, will there be bigger boats for use outside freeplay?
Not that its a problem, just that the campaign missions could use a bigger boat. w

No problem, I don't think it's that dark - In reality if a lot of people die at an incident you don't have all the Emergency services just say "Right, we failed. Time to pack up and go home"!
Yep, it's weird that the game kicks you for people dying, Hoppah's mods at least gave the explanation that someone else was taking over.

Ah to change the original missions you have to go from your EM4 Folder > Data > Scripts etc instead
If you change the script for a mission in a mod folder it will only change it for that mod

Mod > Scripts > Missions > "MissionNumber"
In each script (Excluding a couple of them) should have a line stating (Example from mission 2):
const int MAX_DEAD_CIVILIANS = 2;
I do believe it is this value you need to change.

I found the only the LA Mod missions inside that folder (which is good thanks, they worked . I assume it is the main missions that, once changed, will change for every mod?

Is there any way to raise the acceptable level of deaths in each mission (I know that sounds incredibly dark, but I'd like a bit more realism)?

No problem.
The unamarked Taurus should be included. cv_umpc3 and 4 should be the unmarked Impala and Taurus.

Every new additional vehicle has to have new Unit folders and files created, has to be added to various XML files if you want correct text and pictures, and has to be defined in certain scripts (LASiren for example).
Check posts 218 and 220 on page 11 of this thread for more info.

Any way to get the umpc taurus? Can't find it as well as some other vehicles' files in protypes?

I know we're not supposed to talk about installation here, but I can't get the sirens to work.
I've added the vehicle (so far just the impala) and it works fine. However, it does not have a siren.
Is there any way to rectify this?

I reinstalled Fire Department 3 recently and found that it now only runs in french. Previously it ran in english Is there any way to change it?

Basically, I booted up EM3 again recently, but found that it takes about a minute to get to the intro videos, about 1/2 minute to get to the main menu after that, and then between 1-15 minutes to load the mod, and then another 5 to load the mission. I used to be able to get into a mission within a minute from the desktop, and now this...
Anybody have a fix or has this happened to you?
It is probably only a month or two ago since I last played it, so I can't see why its suddenly doing this.
Specs:
i5 3570k @3.8ghz
8gb Corsair Vengeance @1600mhz
HD 7950 with boost
My hard drive is a little over half full. I tried turning anti-virus on and off, reinstalling the game, and so far none have worked

The firehouses start totally empty and when I call vehicles off map, they can park there.
If there aren't vehicles in v2 then thats probably why

I have that other game. There are elements of it that are very fun. A freeplay version would be great.
Who said anything about wanting a simulator? I just want realistic real time strategy. This series is just too easy. Even on the toughest levels. To me, firefighting is more than just pulling up and flowing water. There is no real strategy to this game. Implementing some of what we actually do, will make this game harder, and IMO that equals more fun to play. Do I want to have to walk the water out of the hose or strip a burnt out room down to the studs? No. Should I have to secure a water source and hit the seat of the fire? Absolutely.
I believe that this game would be an outstanding mutiplayer game if done right. I have been playing some Arma III, and the teamwork aspect of that game is outstanding. I would like to see an evolved version, not just a new version of the same old thing.
(A bit off topic) Do you run this on windows 7? I cant get it to run

Sorry about this if these have already been posted but I've looked at the past 50 pages and found nothing. I have a few questions
1. I'm currently playing 2.01 with the 2.03 patch. When I spawn into freeplay, no vehicles appear in the fire stations Is this normal for most or a bug?
2. What is the latest release? (and a link) I have read quite a few forums and people are talking about 2.01, 2.3, 3.0 1.5 etc. Which is the latest official release?
3. Is the version with Times Square still available for download? If so, could I have a link?
Other than the no units spawning, the mod is excellent and on par with Hoppah's LA mod

Seen loads of gameplay about the game/sim but I have windows 7 64-bit and the game doesn't run. I saw the old forum (http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/topic/7952-zero-hour-americas-medic/) and I was wondering if since then anybody has been able to get it to work on windows 7? I've tried compatibility mode but they don't work. Any ideas?

Just asking, but will you be able to pursue different career paths other than a normal patrol officer? Like armed response or detective? And good luck with the development

Thanks Mikey, I think I worded my question wrong As you've said, its the capability that is important. Thanks (I know that the mod is on hold at the present time )
