2 Pedestrians were struck by an elderly man in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart in the early morning hours. 85 year old Harold Green accidentally hit the accelerator of his car instead of the breaks causing him to hit two pedestrians and crash into a nearby parked car. The Northview County Sheriff's Department state the drugs or alcohol were not a factor in this accident. "Things could have been a lot worse," said Sgt. Mike Alvarez of the Northview County Sheriff's Department, "the accident occurred during a huge holiday sale and there were many people present, including children." Witnesses say that Green's car narrowly missed about 4 other pedestrians. The two that were struck were transported to nearby South County Medical Center. One is said to be in critical condition, the other, is said to be stable at this time. The driver was not arrested at the scene, and Sheriff's officials have not yet stated whether the driver will face charges.

At 1800 hours of a Friday evening the NVFD got a dispatch call that there was a tree on fire. Engine 51 was dispatched to the scene, upon arrival the captain reported that the tree was fully involved with multiple exposures. The crew of engine 51 quickly deployed attack lines and fought the fire out. After the fire was knocked out, a scene investigation took place. As members searched the scene for how the fire started, a rag soaked in gasoline was found.

At 1820 hours on the same day, NVFD gets a call from the NorthView Hospital that the bushes at the front entrance is on fire. Brush 87 was dispatched to the hospital. Brush 87 arrived on the scene 2 minutes after the initial dispatch, which was a quick response. A hose was immediately deployed by one of the firemen while the other grabbed a fire extinguisher. The NVFD told the Hospital to postpone any emergency transports to the hospital, instead airlift them into another district because there were risks of fire spreading to nearby buildings and vehicles. Medic tents were deployed on the West side of hospital to treat non-life threatening injuries. When the hospital fire was knocked out, the scene was searched for what started the fire and the same type of rag drenched in gasoline as the first fire call was found. Police are investigating if the incidents are related or not and if the arsonist has a specific target or not.

The Creekside EMS CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) system was hacked this afternoon causing chaos to first responders.
The DDoS hack went through the systems firewall and directly into the core. With the help of neighbouring towns, deaths were prevented but the ambulance lineup at the hospital was outrageous. The Police internet security team are currently tracking the source of the attacker and will backtrace all attacks. "This is a serious crime that cannot be forgiven", "Messing with people's lives is not a joke" says members of the Internet security team. Meanwhile it is asked that the EMS CAD system will update their secutiry measures and firewalls.

"Squad 26 was at the airport investigating a commercial fire alarm call when rustling noises came beneath a car. The firemen went to investigate the cause of the sound. Before he got within 2 meters the car started smoking. He dispatched backup over the radio. The off-duty battalion 2 chief heard his backup call over the radio and decided to help out since he was close. When the chief arrived on scene he noticed the car was about the explode. A primary explosion had already wounded the firefighters leg and he couldn't walk. The chief rushed to him, picked him up, and carried him out risking his life. The firefighter suffered 3rd degree burns and the chief, 2nd. The chief will be awarded this coming Wednesday for his courageous act."
