FAQ
How do the firepoints work?Every fire starts with a number of points and will grow in size, there is a maximum amount for every type of fire. You'll need 3 fireman for every 100 points to let the fire decrease 1 point every second. If you've got twice that amount of firemen than the fire will extinguish twice as fast.

I'm the creator of the game Online Emergency Simulator. This text based webgame allows you to control the Emergency Services. You can create bases, buy vehicles and dispatch them. The game has been released on september 25th and is available in the English language since May 1st.
Currently the game is only translated and the photos are Dutch. I haven't found a UK/USA photo sponsor yet.
Preview for new update:
New update will contain:
#New update will contain the speed values in miles instead of kilometers for the English version
#Terms and Conditions.
#Quickmenu in the header for your base.
#Quickmenu in the footer for your calls.

to bad , because your map looks really good but the original vehicles of the game are crappy and boring and hoped that it could be used in conjunction with the LA Mod :-(
I guess we cant have it all ... so I will need to find a way to get something nice out of this ;-) .
I can try to make it compatible with the LA mod but that will take some time. And i don't know if i can do it because i haven't had any experience with LA mod modding. First i want to get 1.0 out of the beta phase else i need to fix the bugs in the LA version and the default. And i don't whant to do thing double.
Many users are playing the mod with the Alpha version from the Netherlands Modification.
-
so why should this than not be compatible with the LA Mod ? reason for asking this , is that the LA Mod works also quite well with the original freeplaymap ...therefore I assumed that this should work as well
The LA mod uses their own firestations where vehicles spawn. Expanded Freeplay uses the default HQ.

Download
You can download the latest version of the map on the official site (www.joopjr.nl/em)
Use the map in other mods
To use the map in other mods you need to copy the freeplay files from the folder (C:\Program Files\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4\Mods\Expanded Freeplay 1) to the mod where you want the map to be playable, for example (C:\Program Files\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4\Mods\Netherland Modification\Maps).
Copyright
You are not allowed to give the map to others without permission from the makers. Everyone is free to edit the map or merge the map with other mods for own usage, you are not allowed to share these custom made mods without permission. The map is only downloadable on the site from Expanded Freeplay (www.joopjr.nl/em/).

I got 2 problems in freeplay:
1. Vehicles get stuck in Traffic Virtual Object.
The cars start to drive if the traffic light turns green, but they imminently stop even when they are inside the virtual object:
*Reconstruction in the editor because i can't take screenshots ingame.
2. Traffic lights goes red to fast
The traffic light called 16_3_5 where 5 is the number for the green time can handle 1 car in the greentime, this is after a fresh reinstall of the game.
The traffic light 16_1_3 where 3 is crucial for the green time can't handle any vehicle, they just drive 1 inch and straight after that it turns red again.
-Sorry for my bad English xD -

Just be patience, you will read it on this forum how and where you can download the mod after release
-
Great job . Is the map compatable with the LA Mod ?
No, it is just a replacement for the default freeplay map.
-
Looks amazing. Quick question tho, in the beginning you said the mod was in dutch, so i'm assuming it is in english now?
It wasn't dutch. The mod doesn't change the language files. I just was to lazy to translate the topic into english.
-
Nice, very nice.
How manny procent of the map is finisht?
Around 50 percent of the map has been finished in 1 month time.
-
nice work. you will add fire stations, police dept and hospital aswell ? will be compatible with lamod v2.0 ?
No, it is just a replacement for the default Emergency 4 freeplay map.
The map looks good but does it actually expand the game in any other way then offering a new map?
No, only a new map. No new models/scripts/missions etc, etc.

That is the problem, the directory for that mod doesn't exist (i can't see it in the mod map, no it isn't hidden)
I found the files!! Windows 7 put them in "C:\Users\Joop\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4"...

Currently i am creating a Mod using my normal user account but this mod isn't visible in the mod folder and isn't visible in the modification menu ingame if i run it as administrator. But i can edit and play it as normal user. How am i able to create a e4mod file (because the mod installer runs as administrator so i can't see my created mod there)
I realy need this mod, i spend alot time in it.
-
Put these files on your Flash Drive:
C:\Program Files\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4\Data\Save
C:\Program Files\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4\Mods
C:\Program Files\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4\em4.cfg (if you edited it)
(Not sure if those 3 are the only you need)
You will only need the mod directory if you only want the LA mod files etc.
Install Emergency on your new pc.
Paste the flash drive files in the emergency directory.

I discovered that when i run the game as administrator I don't see all those (deleted) mods. But i want them to disapear without running it as administrator.
//EDIT:
WTF? It looks like the administrator has a whole different game folder, if I delete everything in the ORGINAL freeplay map using the editor on my own user account (except the HQ and floor) and open it ingame as a normal user than everything is gone. But everything is normal when I open the map ingame as administrator.
//EDIT 2:
One more thing:
I am the only administrator Account, there are no other accounts on this Windows pc (except the guest account)
//EDIT 3:
Currently i am creating a Mod using my normal user account but this mod isn't visible in the mod folder and isn't visible in the modification menu ingame if i run it as administrator. See these to images... I have no idea what i am doing wrong. Both images are from the mod folder.
-
I don't have zmodeler.
I don't run much on this machine (only Winrar, Gimp and emergency 4 installed)
//EDIT:
There are hidden files (when i browse to the mod folder to import a floor i can see all uninstalled mod folders)... But now my question. How do i delete them?
-
There aren't any hidden folders.
-
Okay, i have some mods installed, but after I deinstall the mods through the mod-installer they will not disapear from the editor/ingame. I can't play them but the name will show up in the modification menu.

How is this possible?
