  1. I remember 7 years ago, stumbling upon this site I became instantly glued to it. A week didn't go by that I didn't check the forums. I looked forward to releases from the major players of the time, I was more attached and excited for mod releases for EM4 than I was for most AAA games. I watched this community grow and grow; wonderful content, a happy friendly community that was always willing to help, and a community that respected each other's work. This game and the mods that were created by this community got me interested in my career in public safety and in my career in IT. I Thank you because I learned so much over the years from you guys. I wish more people would open their eyes and appreciate that a group of people take time out of their own lives to produce quality content. This game is one of the most time consuming to mod. Hoppah, Voodoo_Operator, NFK, Stan and Mikey PI were all pioneers of modding this game and turning it into a great community. I don't know what happened that caused this community to end up in the state that it currently is in. I would hate to see something that so many of us have enjoyed over the years be destroyed by the inconsiderate actions of some people. People need to realize this isn't a company producing a game, these are people taking the time out of their life to create a mod for their enjoyment and yours. It isn't owed to you, you're not entitled to it, you didn't pay for it, and most importantly...even though you download the content... you don't own what you don't create or buy. I want the old Emergency-planet back. A credits file is not that hard to create. I/we can only hope that development will continue across this community on the projects that stalled because of unappreciation, but things need to change. It's not the creators faults, it's not the community as a whole fault. It's the lack of appreciation for people's work, lack of respect and common courtesy and severe negativity by a select few. Seriously for the sake of the community can we all just get along. A simple "thank you for you work" also goes a long way. I'll end this by simply saying this: Appreciate what you have before it's gone. Thank you content creators for everything you produce for this community, I know there are others who appreciate it as much I do. Do it for them, and don't focus on the haters.

**P.S. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.**

  2. Nice! That's awesome, I've been playing the 2.0 and it's awesome minus a few bugs lol. But anyways I know it was probably covered in the last 134 pages but I simply don't have the time to go through all of them but is the mini map gonna be fixed to match the map in this weekend release?

Yes it will be, it was brought up a few pages back. I asked the same thing so no worries.
  3. I will indeed, I've been keeping track of changes.

There are still a couple things that won't be fixed quite yet, like the rotors on the new helos lacking animations, just because I haven't figured out / haven't got around to doing that yet.

But all gameplay-critical bugs, along with lights, units, and wheels, have been fixed.

Awesome, can't wait Bama. Seriously loving this mod.
  4. Incident in my state recently

BOSTON —Massachusetts State Police said Wednesday they were still attempting to contact the man who posted a video to YouTube that appeared to show a trooper using pepper spray on a protester in Boston.

Kin Moy, interviewed by NewsCenter 5 on Sunday, said he was videotaping arrests Thursday at the Boston protests for two recent grand jury decisions to clear police officers involved in the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, when a state trooper used pepper spray on him.

Moy caught the incident on video and uploaded it to Youtube, where it accumulated more than 15,000 views by Wednesday.

State police said the trooper depicted in the video was placed on restricted duty Tuesday as the department conducted an internal investigation into the incident.

Police said the name of the trooper would not be released while the internal investigation was conducted.

The video shows police attempting to move protesters back during protests Thursday night in Boston.

A trooper in the video can be heard saying "Go, now, you're going to get sprayed."

The trooper then appears to point a canister toward Moy.

Moy then turns the camera to show a liquid covering the side of his face. He said the reaction of state police in his case serves as an example of the tension currently felt across the country between protesters and police.

"It was very painful at the time," Moy said. "When the officer pepper sprayed me that was an example, to a much less extent because I am still alive, but it was using force that exceeds necessity."

Moy said he was following the trooper's instructions to move away.

"I had no intention of going head to head with officers, I was backing off," Moy said.

State police said they have attempted to contact Moy by leaving comments under his video on YouTube and also sent two Internal Affairs investigators to try to speak to him at his residence as well as at a local gym.

Police said messages and contact information were left at both locations.

Moy said Sunday he had planned to meet with a lawyer, as well as the American Civil Liberties Union, before contacting police.

Next time, get of I-93 if you don't want to get sprayed...

  5. This is the a video of the GetStryker issue.

So the issue is when he picks up the victim? He shoulders them instead of putting on stretcher. This also happened to me...are you using the included lift command that came with the mod or the default unedited one? If you aren't using it, use this one. Just throw it in your scripts/command folder. File is from orginal Stryker Stretcher mod on Emergency forum.de by THW Teufel.

    Stryker Scripts.zip

  6. I don't know if anyone reported this but at the top of the map to the southwest of the ambulance repair shop there are two people under an apartment building, I forgot to report it because I fixed it my self by hiding the buildings and deleting the two people. When I get home I will upload a screenshot.

  7. If I remember correctly you need to place a master object somewhere on the app that does the constant check for fires. Can be a tree or a bottle under the map. Just needs to match the name in the script. You then draw a virtual object around the area you want the the alarm box to recognize. So say you wanted to make box 12 before the gas station on the map you would draw a virtual object around the gas station and then place an alarm box object and name both the virtual object and the alarm box the same thing (forget the format should check the script for it) then when there is a fire in the corresponding virtual object it sets of it's paired alarm box.

  8. The change clothes command works by changing the prototype of the person so in fact you could make it so that the change to traffic actually changes to a prototype of an armored sheriff. So yes the changing to the vest could change the abilities and the characteristics of the person.
