It could be the windows 8 OS causing problems, I don't know if there are video card drivers for Windows 8 yet. You might have to look around the ATI site for windows 8 compatible video drivers.

I mean it did work in Windows 8 Developer Preview. But not anymore.

Are you sure you updated your video card drivers?

I have Emergency 4 that crashes too everytime I start it. I have just installed it on Windows 8 Consumer Preview, but it worked on Windows 8 Developer Preview.

It is not first time it happens. Before Windows 8 Developer Preview I had Windows Vista (Built in operatingsystem) and then I had the same problem except I solved the crash somehow. And now I cannot remember what I did and so on.

I also updated my graphic cards driver (ATI HD Radeon 4600 series). But it doesn't work either.

I have made a new map and added some cars and people.

The point is that I can open that map in the game but when I want to send out a emergency service car (Police, Ambulance etc.) then they wont come. What do I need to place out on the map in the editor so that the cars (police car/ambulance car etc.) will come from out side map?

Do I need a script for that?

Okey, somehow it is good. But what about to change it and make so that the traffic is redirecting to other side road and not back as they do when the police is redirecting the traffic.

As you can see on the picture something like that. I mean the white van on the upper road/field follows the "red line".

And the second idea is to create a script that Policemen can too patrol in foot.

example....take the fp_params file from the mod you want to merg with the la mod. open the la mod fp_params and add the lines from the vehicles you want to it. save. repeat for siren script and so forth.

The Swedish mod doesn't have any other files than prototype folder and Model folder. The mod does work, but it doesn't work if I put it into LA mod. Anyway I hope that someone do a tutorial how to add vehicles.

thats a lot of work. you have to pull the models and prototypes over. you need to merg the fp_params, siren, topd.... test, see what is wrong, add commands, change what was messed up.....

for a tutorial you could always look at adding a vehicle by Hoppah. you can find it here.

they should all be compatable if you do it that way, but somewhere you are either messing up or changing something that doesnt need to be changed.

I have another question and it is about how can I add other cars from other mods into L.A Mod? For example a police car from NY mod into L.A Mod? I mean, I found a Swedish car mod from this forum. It only contains the prototype and model folder, it just has to be placed into the mod folder in Emergency 4 and used it. But how can I add into L.A Mod?

I tried, I placed these files into L.A Mod and added my own lines into portrait, Freeplay etc and it still is so as on the picture.

interesting...try adding it one piece at a time and see if something isnt right. i have no idea why its doing that to you.

I added the Unmarked Dodger Charger V.1.0 from the first page. I copied this cars lines from these files and added inside my files (in, Portraits, Freeplay, Units etc). But it still so.

I did it manually but when I load the freeplay with LA mod, I cannot buy any cars. It looks like this...

I need help, I do not understand what I am doing wrong... I wanna add some new swedish cars to LA mod.... I downloaded a submod for the LA mod and then I edited it... But when I start the freeplay, there where I can buy the cars that is locked now... I cannot open it. what am I doing for wrong?
