  1. Your resolution is stuck.

    Go to X:\Program Files\WizardWorks\911 - First Responders /OR/ whatever your game directory is,

    look for a file called em4.CFG and open it using Notepad.

    find r_xres" value and change it to your native resolution.

    example

    <var name="r_xres" value="1366" />

    <var name="r_yres" value="768" />

  2. Ok, Small update. I'm having serious trouble with Photoshop though so i'm unable to apply textures, I'm still trying to fix it but no luck on the internet.

  3. Hello All,

    I'd like to connect two surfaces with each other on zmodeler, I can't seem to remember how or even if i did it before or not. Is it possible to connect those two surfaces so they become one surface? I know I know why don't I just create them all as one surface, But creating different surfaces and then connecting them seems much more easier for me.

    Thanks a lot,

    Tarek

  4. Hey Tarek, I appreciate your pleasant help and responses. I'm totally new to Zmodeler. All I want to do is make a lightbar which is basically a rectangular shape. Even that is hard to do. Let me ask you a question though. I've seen how people will add a background picture of what they're building to Zmodeler. Is this only to help them draw their model or is it used in the 3D object?

    Hey Kareem,

    Yes adding a background does help a LOT! It's as if you have a small picture with outlines and you fill in the colours with crayons when we were small. You add background images to the views to set your outlines and shapes of your model, For example take this model i'm working on now.

    I've used the background images to help me set the outlines of the car, otherwise it'll be pretty impossible to create and even if it did, it'll take for ages. Using the background images helps us to decide when to stop,expand, connect, create and see how our model is doing. Imagine for example building something out of your vivid memory which can't be at all accurate.

    If there are any more questions I'd be more than happy to answer :)

    Have fun ;)

  5. You More than welcome.

    It's true though there aren't any that good enough video on zmodeler, but I guess you must try and fiddle until you figure out things, When i first started using zmodeler I would redo the model 4 to 6 times before I get the quality I need until I finally find what i'm looking for, First model ever I did, I had to redo pretty much all of it, by time you do the model only one time in a few hours and you're done.

    Experience and getting used to it is very important :)

    Good luck in learning though :)

  6. what can you do?

    I think nothing really.

    i just need help on editing 3d objects like people, houses and vehicles. I also need help on the action buttons to tell things what to do.

    i never did a mod before or edited a mod. so i dont really know how to do anything. i can do some things to help.

    You don't need help on editing as you can't edit things unless you have permission from owners and you won't create a whole mod out of other people's models, plus you don't need help on editing you need someone to teach you even the slightest basics of creating 3D models which I don't think anyone will be willing to do.

    You should go take some time off to learn the basics of 3D modelling, Editing, Scripting, Maps, etc. Creating a mod isn't "that" easy as people seem to make it.

  7. Hello All,

    I'm not sure if this idea has been thought before or checked, but Is it possible to create boxes in traffic light junctions having the ability to stop traffic and turn traffic lights on and off?? Which can be very good to safe time on getting an officer to the light and stop and stuff...

    Some scripting and time should be possible? or not?

    Thanks,

    Tarek

  8. Well, I've tried 3D Max already, I think it's a bit too professional though for a game mod don't you think? I've never tried Cinema 4D though, Is it a bit light or the same?

    I can see also that there's a lot of mods which has gone dead or been on hold, Why is that?
