  1. Thats the first thing I noticed. :)

     

    I don't wish to complain about their being some blank spots for fire hydrants. I rather say THANK GOD FOR THE TANKER or else I would of been screwed in those pesky fires up near all the homes in the north part of the map. I realized that I should of stretched the tanker a little more so the engines would get closer to the heart of the fire.

    It's kind of the point places that have a town water supply don't need tankers unless its in the sticks. Your vehicle placement alone needs to be cleaner lol. Your setup allows for nothing to get past so if you needed another unit or tanker you would have to go down the street from the different side which wastes time. lol

  2. Great improvements with the patch. I removed a lot of the weather from the parameters script because it causes heavy lag. Only thing that seems to cause problems is intersections where vehicles go to turn and can because the lanes are too close/small. Also lag is heavily caused by units on the map. Overall great work and I believe I speak for everyone when I say that we appreciate your work.

  3. I suppose, and really? You can't ask when things are released? That's pretty pathetic imo.

     

     

    It's called respect. We have respect for the team that made the mod so when they do this out of their free time the only thing we should expect out of them is for them to take their time and enjoy what they do. Nothing less, nothing more. 

  4. Video is from 13-14 years ago. Except for the most resource-strapped departments and communities, most have probably gone to more modern forms of communications that don't cause loud disruptions to their communities.

     

    This isn't true, Whelen Engineering still makes these and they still sell hundreds every year.  One of the the wealthiest fire districts of Rhode Island actually have a whelen system right next to the station which is right dead center in a residential neighborhood. The pole for the siren is dead next to a set of houses. Pawcatuck Ct, Misquamicut RI, Watch Hill, RI all have them....modern communities, with wealthy tax payers which love their volunteers and don't make a single complaint.

     

     

    On topic: If BCFD or MPFD use a siren or a pager system and the modification dev team plans to implement it, they will.

  5. Two words for this mod....Relay...Pumping. Not having the ability to go engine to engine to ladder or just engine to engine is kinda making it hard to get a water supply.  Really low amount of hydrants had me taking tankers up and down the road to unaffected hydrants to refill then I would return to the scene. If I ran a engine from the hydrant and up to another engine and then to the attack truck that would be great. The image below had me cutting down bushes to lay down a supply line to a attack engine so they could do the interior attack.

  6. Yep. Well I just probably had the best freeplay round...two structure fires...first one had little to no lag. The second one involved like 10 houses had tons of lag but did have some major points where it was 50-70 fps.

  7. A question to you guys. How would you like building fires to be?

    Original EM4 with visible flames all throughout with heavy smoke and flames appearing later OR

    Smoke coming out of every opening of the building, and the flames only appear later.

    New download, I fixed small bugs so it's more playable

     

    • Light on several vehicles have been added
    • Traffic that gets stuck have been fixed 
    • Missing wheels are added to the models

    I know its not much, but it makes the gameplay a bit better and no "stuck" traffic paths  and the missing lights

     

     

    Might want to upload this to mega/4shared. Server is terrible.

  9. Loved how I had a shop lifting turn into a officer involved shooting...got out of the cruiser and suspect pulled a gun and exchanged fire...got the officer back in the car and reversed out of there and called more officers...then moved in to only shoot and kill the suspect. Sad day. lol

  10. So looks like the entire traffic system needs a complete overhaul... LOL its funny.....if you remove a car that is causing trouble with the traffic and then remove another one the glitch with the none moving non tow able vehicles glitch passes from car to car. Removed the taxi...it passed onto a red honda...remove the red honda it passes onto a green ford f250. LOL

     

    EDIT: Any chance we could get volunteers to respond to the scene and be able to pull gear from the their trucks? Sorry that is how I do it.

  11. Thanks for the feedback guys. Patch is coming out within a day or two and the vast majority of missing wheels, doors and lights will be fixed, along with the serious issues like traffic glitches and CTDs. 

     

    So as I'm editing the mod myself and fixing the missing wheels and texturing the doors on vehicles...I located the problem with this bit of traffic. Its caused by the taxi...it can't be towed away and its the only part causing the traffic jam. I am looking into it quite deeper.

  12. Want to let everybody know I've downloaded the bug reports you've sent me and taken notes on those who didn't submit forms, and I will be releasing a small patch soon to address most, if not all, of these issues.

    Thanks for everything bud. Just once question are there missing PD units? Under units still listed as LASD their icons are black and if you spawn them you crash with no error straight to the desktop.
