I have the same problem, and would like to know how to reinstall the graphics card. I've tried deleting the freeplay map and loading another one. I've tried reinstalling the game and mods. I've tried freeing up memory on my computer. None of these things worked, so I'd like to try reinstalling the graphics card.

I had a problem where I worked on a truck in the editor program, and now every time I load 2.0, it shuts down and goes back to my desk top. Is there a way I can erase editor changes? I have reloaded the entire 911 first responders game, but every time I go back into editor, the changes are still there... Its frustrating, and I would just like to restart everything from scratch. Thanks.
If you have Windows, then you should run 911FR under a different user account; it works very well. Unfortunately, if you mess up, you would have to delete the account and make another.

Ok thanks maybe going to try it later, isnt it any other way? Btw, using W7 and EM4 Deluxe.
If Windows 7 has user accounts, it should work. I was able to run 911FR and the mod without any issues on a different account.

Some days ago. Wanted to try to make another mission map to a freeplay map but i changed my mind, but i had already saved the map and overwrited the freeplay map with it, and i have tryed to put a freeplay map from the original emergency 4, but it doesnt work. Its still the map i dont want.
The only way I can try to get around my problem is to use 911FR through a different Windows Vista user. I.e. make a new user account for Vista and play 911FR through that. Try it out. If it doesn't work, or if the game breaks a second time, close down that account and try another, or try something else. I'll get back to you on whether or not I succeed.

No success. My copy of the game is ruined beyond repair, so I guess I'll stick to playing something else. Thanks for the help anyways, I appreciate it.

If you reinstall everything, then the custom map won't be there anymore...
Can you post a logfile and DXdiag after the next crash please, and when does it crash? Straight after loading or in the middle of the game?
It crashes mid-game, without warning. The real problem is that the custom map refuses to go away, or when it's reinstalled, the changes I made are still there.
How do I create/get a logfile or DXdiag?

I reinstalled the submod, I reinstalled LA Mod, I even reinstalled 911FR. That map is broken.

I badly messed up editing a custom map for the LA mod, and now I can't fix the problem. How can I delete the map from the 911FR editor?
By the way, the change I made was deleting the car paths and spawn points. Solved my traffic problems
but makes the game shut down randomly

It's not that bad if you can multitask and watch for the traffic jams. I use alot of motor units on the map with the large round about, they can get through traffic pretty quick, dismount and clear things up. But I did have a large fire near the round about and it was chaos, the ladder truck is so big it just stops and causes a larger jam. But I like how large the map is and response time is increased, plus the highway environment is a nice change from just city roads. The traffic problem doesn't quite kill the maps for me.
I've tried, but the traffic pattern is so odd that redirecting traffic is a complete no-go. It usually just makes it worse. I want to see if going into editor and blocking the streets off from there might work...

Well, I was able to load the map entirely, but the freeplay crashed not long afterward, after the first call or so.
