Its not a Bug. Its in fact wanted so that can you just send your Units back to base and magicly refill them. ;) We dont want to make things that Easy :D

The Problem with the Spawn-Areas of the Traffic will be fixed with the Next Patch!

One bug I have encountered that you might already know about is sometimes when pressing 2 to send units back to base, they get to the car door and just sit there while the car is stuck in place.

Would it be possible to add a script, similar to the scripts used in Miami and Montana mod in em4, to debug the traffic and clear stuck vehicles. If it is possible it would be a easy solution for traffic bugs that happen either with vehicles going into other vehicles or cars getting stuck after being redirected by traffic, because for the most part, it's almost impossible to completely remove bugs like those.

  2. This game wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't for the fact that we haven't had a real, fully new emergency game since what? 2014? the difference between em5 and em20 is just more campaigns and 1 or 2 new freeplay missions. There hasn't even been ANY game from sixteen tons since 2018. I don't get how sixteen tons hasn't made a better game since 2006 and depending on your opinion, 2014. At this point I would not be surprised if valve made portal 3, half life 3 and team fortress 3 by the time an actual game is released by 16T. A couple of years ago people on this forum, people pointed out job openings at 16T and rumors of a new emergency game being developed. If THIS was the game they were hiring those people to do, then I don't know when we will ever get a fully new game.

It always made me annoyed that the blue lines on some of Miami Beach FD had a dark shade of blue on the front and a lighter shade on the back. Looks really good though!

  4. I remember, I think it was last year on this forum someone mentioned that Sixteen Tons were looking for people to hire. If this is what they were hiring for than I would be pretty disappointed. I just hope it's not a copy of Emergency HQ. At least it's F2P so at least I don't have to spend money if it turns out to be bad.

Just a silly question.. how do we know when a new update-bug fix drops? It has been awhile since I played the game & visit this site.

    Thanks,

If the mod is uploaded Via the downloads tab/File base section, if you click on the mod it will say the date it was created, and underneath of that it will show when the last update was. There might be a better way but that's how I usually check.

Reviving my UI's 'thread' with a link to the newest preview, and tutorial.

Looking at the preview video, this version looks very clean, I like the fact that around the buttons the rest of the UI is transparent, not only does it make the UI more clean but also it's nice to be able to see more on the screen while still having the UI up. The start screen is pretty good, but I think maybe the challenge/endless screen might need a bit of change, though I don't know how I would personally change it to look better. I'll have to try it out later but it looks very good!

I'm really proud to report that more LASD spec has been found. The most interesting vehicle here is the wagon, however all of these vehicles are a trip to have found.

Sadly, no higher resolution has been found. If anyone has a lead on this book, please feel free to share.

I used google image search and it appears that this comes from a Japanese book that is a "world police catalog" with the year stated on it being 1978. It also contains pictures of more vehicle, though they aren't from LA, beside a picture of a LASD van. But I did find another website that had an extra page to preview and it contains a few CHP vehicles. https://history.aucfan.com/yahoo/h1026174156/ask/   and https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/o440507340 are where these pictures can be found. It seems to be a e-bay type website so you might even be able to buy it, it seems. Honestly I think it might be a good idea to start using google images more often, I didn't realize till now that this tool is really useful, you can use it to find the original source which can lead to even more finds and if you find nothing from the original source, you can always copy an image of those old cars and paste it into google image search and it gives to similar pictures. Edit: I have continued to search and I noticed that i'm seeing a lot about this Wild Mook thing, looked it up and it's published by a guy named Haruo Mizuno , he loved American cops and managed to get ride alongs with NYPD and the LAPD and has apparently published "about a dozen books on this topic", so that might be something to follow.h1026174156.1.jpg

Hopefully, I won't derail the topic too much here but why is it that Miami is the only place that uses a 4 door cab Ambulance? I would think this configuration would be more practical for a critical care transport type of unit as opposed to a major metro area.

As a person that lives in the sun shine state, I have no clue. The only answer I can think of is that it's because it's Florida, we kind of just do what we want. I searched up 4 door cab Ambulance on google and the only other 4 doored ambo's I was were also in Florida (Pasco County and West Palm Beach) I was thinking it might be for disaster relief? Like if there is a hurricane it would be nice having that but the thing that conflicts that is I don't really know how well those vehicles would hold up against flood waters.

  9. I don't think i've ever seen this glitch before. For a lot of people there was a glitch that made the vehicle preview white kind of like in the first picture. That problem if I remember correctly was caused by Intel Integrated Graphics cards. If you have Intel Integrated Graphics then that may very well be the problem as it seems pretty similar to that issue.

I've discussed this with speedrunners previously.

I mentioned the viability of a full game campaign run, but it would probably be a boring 8 hour session filled with RNG.

The main issue I find with the run, is that the 3x speed option mechanic of the game is hardware dependent. Em4 favors people with better computers and this could prevent new players with lesser spec systems from being able to achieve competetive times.

Never really thought about that. To be fair most speed runs are hardware dependent to a certain extent, unless its on a console game. I've played this game both with abysmal hardware and really good hardware and I definitely would say it does make a difference, though stutters are still frequent sometimes with 3x speed on new hardware. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if the game even knows what an 8 core CPU looks like let only anymore than that. For the person that runs the category they could maybe make a 1x only category for more competition. (EDIT) never mind ignore that last sentence, there actually is a 1x only speed category, it turns out to be the one that says IGT. I am just blind lol.

  12. A while ago I thought I would look to see if there was a speedrun of emergency 4. As it turns out, there is. I made a few runs that haven't been verified yet but I thought I would share them and maybe encourage more people to start doing these speeduns for fun.

    Hey guys,

We've been a bit quiet recently but don't worry we're still here, I've been busy trying to build an alpha version for the team and trying to deal with all the issues that comes with it, so progress has slowed down while we work our way through these issues. In the meantime I've got some renders to show off from our latest 3D artist to join the team "HeymallHero" Here is the Nissan Navara Pick up truck witch will server as a HART unit. The model is not quite finished and needs a piece built on the back and of course the lightbar witch will be coming soon.... That's it for now guys :)

  14. As someone who has played this game for who knows how long and has been in the site since 2020 (Made a new account), I have seen this debate tons and tons. But really at the end of the day, it is up to the creators. I see it like this. If I designed a car, do I have to give the design of my doors to everyone else? Nope. If I make a new engine, do I have to give it out to everyone else. No. I do agree with McFlame that most modders do start with reskins and that reskins are a great introduction, but I really don't think you can blame some mod devs for not making things public when there is still a wide range of options. I have seem some absolute fine looking reskins on discord. Making models and sirens and lights and maps takes time so it doesn't surprise me that many people want to protect the work that they spent there free time making. But on the flip side, I do think that maybe there should be more materials to get people started. Having a wider range of public models would be cool. If you look at the newest releases there isn't that many models beside some map props and a sick Halloween car. It definitely would be cool if someone took an initiative and started making those, but nobody has to do that. If I knew how to mod em4 and I had the time to mod em4 without wanting to hope back on warzone after the first day of trying, then I think that would be cool. For whatever reason most people don't make individual models and publish them, just have to deal with it, you can't control that or force a community to start making free  to use models (free to use as in allowed to use not as in the money form of free) Again, at the end of the day, mod devs take there free time to make mods, if they want their stuff private, let them keep it private.
