Hey so I have been having a problem with LA MOD where I try and install it to 911 FR and it says the game isn't installed properly. So I broke out my old desktop and re bought 911 FR. This time I downloaded Manhattan Mod and used winzip because its a .rar file. Anyway it says winzip encountered a problem within the mod. I tried dragging it into the 911 FR mods folder and it told me that the game inst properly installed AGAIN. I'm having the same problem on a different computer. Anyone know whats going on? Will i ever be able to play this mod? I really really want to, please if you can help. Thanks so much!

I just downloaded 911 FR on a desktop that we haven't used in a while. I encountered the same exact problem with LA Mod as I did on my other computer. Is this just extremely bad luck or something more? Please help I really want to play LA Mod and Manhattan Mod! Thanks.

Hey man thanks for the tip. I just tried it but unfortunately im still having the same problem. Any more ideas? Could this be the computer and not the game?

So my LA Mod wont install into my 911 FR folder. I have tried everything to fix it and it still gives me a message saying"LA Mod cant find valid installation of 911 FR"( I legally downloaded the game and it works fine) At this point im going to try and completely delete the game from my computer and re-buy and download it. Do you guys think that is a smart idea, or could it be my computer and not the game? If so how do I get it ALL off my computer so I can start fresh? Thanks a lot!

I had the same problem but you should be able to just install it anyway, when the install asks where to place it just make sure you set it to the correct directory.

i have the same problem except after i download la mod and open it, it says it cant find a valid installation of 911 Fr. I bought the game on ataris website. Do you think i need to re buy the game on a different computer because i already tried re downloading it.

I have the same problem, when i extract la mod into the 911 fr folder then go to install, it says "cant find a valid installation of 911 fr." i don't get it cuz i didn't torrent or anything.

I used to have that game, my pc crashed one day and I lost it. Its a fun game though. I like the concept and I would like to integrate some of it into the game, like digging fire breaks, and having the fire me affected a lot by temperature and wind speed.

That sounds sweet could there be like a USFS fire engine at the 2 fire stations and when the battalion chief or the EMS supervisor would call for USFS they would spawn from the station, switch their gear, and then man the USFS engine.

Just a thought, it would be pretty cool to have more grass/wild fires. Also it would be cool to have LAFD firefighters change into their wildfire turnouts when a call for one comes in. What do you guys think?

I Have been trying to install LA mod to play but every time i open it, it says LA MOD cant find a valid installation of 911 FR. I re-downloaded 911 FR and it still doesn't work. Thanks ill try it, but I am starting to get the feeling that its the game and not the mod. Whenever I go to open 911 Fr modinstaller, it says I need to reinstall the game. I have re installed it and it keeps saying i need to re install it. Do you think deleting it and buying it all over again could work? Also can it run on a mac? Thanks again.

where do i find that?

First: If it's pirated, sometimes LA mod won't find it.

Second: If it can't find the installation automatically, try doing it manually by clicking on the browse button and browsing to the mods 911:FR mods folder in program files.

Third: Redownload the mod and try again.

Did you try to redownload the mod and install again? Might be a corrupted models folder or something maybe?

I recently downloaded 911:First Responders off of Amazon.com. I downloaded LA mod 2.0 and went to install and sent me this message:

Set up could not find a valid installation of

Emergency 4 or 911: First Responders and is unable to find a location to

install the mod!

I am not very good with fixing these problems. Any help would be great.

When i go and download the mod everything is fine. But when it asks to install and i run it, it says it didnt find anywhere to install the mod. I have 911 Fr all ready to go, and i really want to play the mod. Please help!!
