  1. yeah about a week ago i think i mentioned itd be sweet if he could have it ready for 911 as a somewhat tribute to all we have lost ...if not i still praise you on great work.

  2. actually i have no idea where to put mod recruitments , i don't really use any other part of the forum, and you need to be accepted into the Other Mods section so i put it where i know i am. and no I'm not looking to reskin any of hoppahs units because none of them are used by NYPD FDNY or FDNY EMS. Hence the reason i asked for MODELERS. when i asked for assistance from hoppah it was if we run into problems with scripts and things of that sort. but thanks for WARMLY welcoming my idea

  3. Looking for 1 scripter, 1 modler. looking to FINALLY get a NYC mod out. first mod would be VERY small amount of vehicles.

mike does this unit handle swift water rescues, in game would it be a useable unit to cary the scuba crew for freeplay calls like the MVA in the southwest corner of the mission area into the water. i feel like some water rescue crew is needed in game instead of sending the scuba crew out in a USAR or heavy equipment squad.

also, some sort of beach rescue crew would be nice, not necessary for game play but would add realism, because if i recall correctly most medical calls on the beach are, taken by lifeguard crews, stabilized and then decided if BLS or ALS RA is needed and called for, the RA most likely doesnt come onto the beach and the patient is transported via the life guard vehicle to the RA . I feel like a some sort of patient/unit transport vehicle would help in game. on large incidents, especially HAZMAT incidents in free play. i usually set up a decon tent and about a block away set up the Mass Causality unit.

i realize that a Lifeguard vehicle has been discussed earlier, i believe a similar rescue unit, would work but this one is not plausible or helpful to gameplay

maybe something like a golf car or ATV anything that wouldn't transport victims to any hospital, only move the victim from one part of the scene to a triage center.

On the topic of medical triage would it be possible to add Triage Flags. Green being treated patients, Yellow being injured patients, Red being deceased. this would add a whole lot of realism to medical triage with a lot of victims, because its EASY* to loose track of who's treated and who's not when you have 8 victims and 4 EMTS on scene

  5. im a nyer born and raised, i would definatly not be offended.

YET if there was a 911 mission i would somewhat be hurt by seeing that faithful day put into a game. i actually put alot of thought into this before even seeing this topic.

besides that its is impossible for that type of event to be put into the game

  6. hey hoppah question about the police coming on map from the police station...

as you know when calling a vehicle to the map you have 2 options, The Circle just brings the vehicle to it spawn point, and the Arrow which allows you to select the exact location you want to send the vehicle upon comeing to the map..

is there any way to have Police vehicles that are called to the map and NOT sent to the arrow location automatically go on patrol instead of just waiting outside the police station?

  7. wow dude chill alittle please you know what i hate seing on fourms people like bolding and thinking that they are yelling when um im sorry they are words

Its a topic that has been brought up time and time and time again its getting REALLY aggitating

(IM CAPING AGAIN YOU DONT LIKE IT OH WELL)

now lets stop spaming hoppahs fourm and get back to bussiness

Hoppah is there a way to make hazmat have to change into the hazmat suits (like the breathing appartus) because Hazmat crews are used more then just hazmat calls and itd be realistic if they were regular crews that change into the proper gear

(as mike said the hazmat crews in LA are used as extra manpower)

    just a realizm idea

  8. I can, but then.. I can't. This brings up an interesting fact of the Los Angeles City Fire Department. Unlike many other departments you may be familiar with, the LAFD does NOT use a traditional alarm or box system. Each call has it's own dispatch algorithm based on type of structure and location, as well as weather pattern. For example, santa ana winds will include an observation helicopter and additional units down wind in case of tree's and embers. After the first assignment gets on scene, the IC (incident commander) will request whatever units he or she feels is neccesary. With the flexibility of the Task Force/Light Force concept, it allows them to judge their needs specifically and call for additional Engines, Light Forces, Task Forces, in whatever numbers their situation requires. A common call will be "OCD, Van Nuys IC.. Send me an additional Task Force and Engine and another BC" That would get him 2 engines, and a Light Force which can either be used as a 3 engine or a truck. Remember, except for Station 9, you'll never see a truck respond in LA without a pumper with it.

The breakdown, for those interested is:

"A" assignment includes not less than four fire companies and not less than 1 truck

    -Example: Batt 10, Task Force 88 (Engine 88, Engine 288, T88), Engine 78, Engine 39, EMS 10, RA88.

"B" assignment includes not less than six fire companies and not less than 2 trucks

    - Dwellings, apartments, and hotel occupancies four or more stories in

height. All commercial and/or industrial properties that exceed certain parameters, Schools, special schools, day nurseries two or more stories, Sanatoriums, homes for aged, hospitals, public assemblages, and churches except B?2 occupancies under 100 feet. A B2 is explained in the LA City Fire Code. Also all assemblage occupancies on second floor or above.

    -Example: Batt 10, Task Force 88 (Engine 88, Engine 288, T88), Engine 78, Task Force 39 (Engine 39, Engine 239, Truck 39), Engine 109, EMS 10, RA88.

"C" assignment includes not less than four fire companies and not less than 1 truck

-Special Assignments like Airports, Brush and Harbor, amongst others

After the first units get on scene, any additional units required turns the incident into a "Greater Alarm" regardless of what is requested. After 15 fire companies are on scene, it reaches the level of Major Emergency.

    Mike

wow mike thats a very intresting way of dispacth here in new york city we used an almost traditonal box alarm dispatch with exceptions of un usual assignments

you can see these dispatch plans at http://www.fdnewyork.com/aa.asp

  9. i love the idea of POV so i kind of thought of some ideas of how it might work ingame

about ten vehicles are added to the freeplay map automatically on patrol function...

when an alarm is sounded via the fire house cars are singled to come to the fire house

park...and fill the engines, ambulances, batalion truck ect....

could be arranged as fire POV has blue light

    EMS pov has green light

if applied to any mod i could research the lighting/siren code in the area the mod is selected

  10. Thank you, I was really bitting my tongue the last pages. People asked 4times the same questions on 4 pages whiel hoppah responded after the first request. And they even keep going on.

I was waiting for your intervention stan, as i was also infuriated that people would double and tripple ask questions that hoppah answered!
