  1. All I can say is welcome to modding. This crap has been happening in the GTA community for years. What made people think it would not happen in the EM4 Community. I know of mods that have used my stuff without permission but I do not see the point of causing a controversy on a forum and that seems to be what a certain individual within the EMP Community has done and now you guys are having to go through and check it all out and enforce it.

I have to agree. If you mod for the public, expect everything that comes with releasing it to the public. More people will love and enjoy it than will abuse it, but we suffer for the actions of a few? If that's what we can expect, I'd say just shut down the forum. Thank you to all our modders, especially those that will continue.

  2. Hey everyone, I had a quick question. Is there any way to change the dispatch system in a mod? For instance, the Amsterdam-Amstelland Mod, all the vehicles are in groups, and you cannot select from the list on the left like you can in the vanilla game. Is there a way to change it back to the original dispatch version?

    Thank you!

  3. I know the forum has some pretty strict rules about asking for release dates, bit personally it doesnt bother me :)

To me it jusy tells that people are interrested in our work :)

But we are actually almosy ready with the first version. Of course it will be simple and not as advanced as a lot of other mods, but we almost have a version ready :)

Hey, sometimes the best mods are the simplest ones. LA Mod is one of the best and most popular ones, it didn't have any fancy scripts or complicated UI. Simplicity is sometimes the best.

On a side note, the models look fantastic, and the computer idea is very interesting. Keep up the great work!  :holdglass:

  4. I have to say, when this topic was created I thought it was going to either be someone wanting people to make a mod for him, or with a crappy copy-and-paste mod.

I have to say, I am pleasantly wrong. While there's some room for improvement, the mod is fantastic. Good job!  :holdglass:

  5. Now that things have settled down for the most part, last count was 3 dead and about 140+ wounded, one dead was an 8-year old boy. Police found and defused several other bombs found throughout the city.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has taken over the case, calling it a terrorist attack committed by an unknown party.

The pictures from the explosion are horrific. People with their legs blown off, I saw a picture of one guy in a wheel chair with both legs blown off. It was truly horrendous.

  6. I am familiar with the rules about credits. Thats not what I am asking about...I am asking wehter a mod is private when "you" share it with someone else?

That's up for debate. You could say it is private because you're not technically releasing it. Some might argue the sharing of the file is in fact releasing it, because someone other than yourself has access to it. It really depends on a persons' definition.

  7. Just a question of the term "privat mod"? Is it a privat mod when two or more people have it? Or is it private untill you post a download link or shear a download link to more than one other person?? Why I wonder is these "germans" on the blue forum are quite fond rules.

When you use someone else's work as your own, without giving them credit and claiming it as your own, that's plagiarism. Therefore, any modifications you make to something using someone else's work must either be private and not released to the public, or if permisson is given, to release it with giving credit where it's due.
