  1. Personally, a mod wouldnt be any good if the creators didnt listen to critisisms. Most of what people have said including myself is quite reasonable of a request, and 600 lights would definitely kill the game in a hurry.

The lights on pretty much every vehicle can be done in an efficient and minimalistic manner.

I'd be happy if someone did my hometown in Em4, but I'd be sad if I were unable to play it because it has super high poly models and 600 lights that make the game crash/

Oh. See I have no idea what high poly cars means. I thought it meant the cars are highly detailed. And is the 600 lights, per cars or in total? And I agree. If you're going to make a mod. You have to be able to take all forms of criticism. Good and bad. I just hope that if this finished...im able to play it!!!

  2. The fact that people are trashing it. Isn't gonna stop me from supporting a mod of my Hometown. Whether he completes it or not. I'm just happy someone thought about making it. And those upset that someone posted their opinion that was "harsh". The person who posted it doesn't care. Like the common saying goes,"Opinions are like A**hole, Everyone got one." If you like the mod, then support it no matter what people post. If you don't like it, then don't follow it. I'm just understanding of all the people involved. The Creator and the Supporters. I just want everyone to treat each other with respect. Thats my two cents.

  3. I have seen pictures of the ford ambulances, though I myself have not seen them whenever I've been through DC either, but it's one of those things you don't notice I guess unless you care.  But I have seen pictures of the fords along with the international ones parked together, so they do have both, I just don't know what they use them for (if there is any difference to them).

We do have them. But only in reserves. we mainly use the internationals now. You will rarely see a Ford Ambo in DC.

  4. I'm really looking towards this mod. I just read all 9 pages and the excitement is building. Just have some quick tips.

MPD CVPI's don't have any front window lighting. Unless Unmarked. Marked units only have lightbar (mainly Valor), tail, head and reverse strobes and a rear deck minis. Some of our marked units have a full-length rear deck.

Also, on a personal note...I would love to see if the steady patrol blues are fixed into the mod.

FYI I would love to help make this mod!!!

  5. Recently after I load a mod and it goes back to the main menu, it will crash to desktop. Some mod let me go to freeplay, but then crashes seconds after loaded in. I have never had this problem until now. I have 911: First Responders from Amazon, just FYI. I currently have Northview, Ocean City, Montana and Gandia Mods installed. Like I said, I have no idea whats going wrong. Please Help!!!

  6. Now I don't know if anyone else posted this or even if this is the right place to post it, but it would be awesome if that instead of the PEV''s coming from off the map, they can come from their home on map. I was playing another mod, where it uses the LA Freeplay map, but the PEV's where at a house and they had lights and sirens to fit with the rural theme of Volunteer Depts. Now to be clear this is a suggestion. Its would make the game ever more cooler, if that's a word)!!!

  7. I wish there was a way to make the water last long in the trucks instead of only using it for a lil bit and it goes empty on ya

You could look at the scene for hydrants, if you don't see any call a water tanker. The water tanker has a huge amount of water in it. So its going to last longer, (thats what she said), by last longer I mean the water in the engines.

  8. This Mod has to be the most realistic of them all. I like how when you call for an engine, the FF's actually show up in their PEV's, change into their duty gear and roll out. Also the water limit on engines. So simple, but yet awesome. I have literately been playing for 45 mins, and it has surpass LA Mod on my favorite list. There are some bugs, but I expected that from a Beta. The cars that block traffic aren't really a problem. I just shoot them until it catches fire, extinguish it then tow it. Pretty simple fix until the actual fix. But in all, ill give this a 4/5. Once a simple update to fix bugs, ill be fine. :holdglass:

  9. ok , imma try that.

Strange. However, there is an easy way to manually change the maps around. Go into LA mod folded/Maps and there should be two folders called New Freeplay map and Original Freeplay map. Depending on which you want, copy the contents of the folder and paste them in the /Maps folder. It should ask you to overwrite some files - press yes. That should be it.

ok that work. So can i do this for woods map.

USE THE EDIT BUTTON. Next time I have to merge your posts it'll cost you a warning, or I'll just delete the post depending on how lazy I feel.

  10. So I did what you said do. But when I start is it starts like this.

I have 911: First Responders, and the suggestion worked for me. Here's a step-by-step:

1: Right click your EM4.exe file.

    2: New-Shortcut, or Create Shortcut

3: On your new shortcut, right click properties.

4: The Target: section should say this:

    "C:\Program Files\WizardWorks\911 - First Responders\Em4.exe"

    5: Change this to:

    "C:\Program Files\WizardWorks\911 - First Responders\Em4.exe" -editor

That's all I did, and it works just fine. Don't forget to rename your short cut!

  11. Access denied errors usually mean that the mod folder is read-only or protected. Make sure to run the map switcher as administrator and check the mod folder and all its contents are not read-only. Hopefully that makes sense.

OK, So I right click on the LA mod folder, and scroll to properties. I unchecked Read-Only and it says access denied, I need to provide admin permission to change, but I am the admin. But when I click OK, it says applying attributes and then it reverts itself back to Read-Only.
