  1. We're working on it yes, the full HD version now has multiplayer working, SD is still a work in progress.

     

    There's been more units added to this version however, aswell as a lot of map edits. Here's a second gameplay video.

     In your video there is a message saying "No nearby hydrant to install supply line" at 15:23, nice feature!  How close does the engine have to be to automatically connect to a hydrant and are you bringing that over to the HD version as well?

  2. Got it installed! =) I love this version; I have AMD Radeon graphics and so far no crashes, it doesn't even lag.

     

    I have a question though, not sure if this is a bug or not

    But I got a call which was titled class III automatic box fire battelion; I went to the scene and there was nothing there.I sent 2 firemen inside and I could not see inside the building.This was at the farthest left corner on the top of the map near the fire station.Not sure if this is a bug or not; if not what is this class III ?

    That would be a "box alarm."  You should see a box on the street pole or somewhere in the area glowing red, send a company captain or the DC to reset to clear the mission.

  3. maybe a parking spot for the battalions?

    It would definatlely be nice to have a spot for the two batt's - Maybe one at Sta #1 and the other at Sta #4 or at the main "Emergency headquarters" (where the trucks come out...), I can definately appreciate the issues with the PD patrol script, another option could be a couple of parking spots around the maps for PD cars to s

    'stage", instead of having to leave them at headquarters in the corner of the map. Not needing another buliding or anything, maybe a spot in the parking lot of Sta #4 or the large parking lot just north of Sta #5 for example. I've not had the issues with any Ped's getting in the way...glad to hear you were able to fix the RTS error for Engine 2. Great work!!! :cheers:

I'm loving it so far, but I cannot seem to get E2 to return to station, it keeps wanting to park in the trees just west of the house. :) Great job on this guys, I'm wanting to get into the online games at some point, just haven't had the time to yet, but this was definately a well made mod! :gut:

  5. It's simply just a bi-product from the use of one way streets and em4's engine. We've tried everything to get round it to no avail. We think the running against the flow of traffic, however unrealistic, is the best compromise for a realistic map. We have made changes to address this issue in v3, we've made all streets running across map (West to East or East to West) which in reality are one way, 2 way roads, that way engines will drive on the same side as traffic going in the same direction. However it's simply not plausible to do the same for avenues such as 7th 8th and 6th (which are the 3 in v3), avenues are distinct in how they look. However again we've given dedicated Fire lanes which allow units to pass through (sometimes against the flow of traffic) and on 7th Ave where there is no dedicated fire lane, we fluctuate which lane is dedicated to fire from intersection to intersection, thus giving the impression that cars travel down all lanes, but allowing units to pass through. However again on 7th this is both directions, so yes there will be some occasions where units head up 7th which is a south bound road.

    Thanks! It's one of 3 on map, Rescue 1 (Single Rescue Company House) Engine 65 (Single Engine Company House) and Midtown (Engine/Ladder Company with Battalion too). All are as close to real world as possible, both in location and detail, in around and of the house itself.

  6. Very good work Dyson. Two questions:

    Is E65 a single company house or did you just use that for the purpose of the video? I'm not that familiar with FDNY so I thought I'd ask. On V2 there seems to be a lot of driving against the flow of traffic even though the map shows the travel to be in the same direction. Example is the road in front of Batt 10 is a one way going left...west...(??) but every time there is a call they go right/east...does that make any sense? The map shows the traffic flowing the opposit way in some cases. Sorry if this is confusing....but will that be the case again in V3?

Not wanting to be critical by any means, but I don't believe that CFD uses a midmount tower like FDNY model you are showing, just the rear mount aerials and rear mount aerial platforms and the earlier mentioned snokels which are also rear-mounts. If you are going for realism then I would not use it. If you're just wanting to add it as a model with the CFD markings then I say go for it. I wouldn't mind seeing what the finished product looked like! Looks very good so far. Best of luck with this.

  8. Having a little trouble getting v 2.0 and v 2.0.3 to install, wondering if i could get some help.

    I installed v 1.0 and that works fine, when i run the installer on either 2.0 or 2.3 i cant get any of the apparatus to show up.

    I was wondering how to correct this problem.

    Read the "README" file in the 2.0.1 mod, the steps are clearly outlined on what you need to do, it tells you that in order for v.2.0.1 to work it will need several files from v.1 - you will copy the v.2.0.1 files into the v.1 mod.

    For v.2.0.3, look to see where the installer loaded it. It will default to "sixteen tons" and some games do not have that, instead it's under wizard works. Use windows explorer to look in your program files folder and see if you have a sixteen tons folder (there will be nothing but the mod files in there); if you do, copy the mod files to the correct mod location and it will work, or you can simply run the installer again and point the installer to the correct location before it runs.

  9. Not sure if this is a bug or not, if anyone else has reported this I appologize for the repost (didn't see anything). But there are two missions I've not been able to complete. The first is a medical down by E53/L43, the victim is on the north sidewalk and I cannot seem to be able to reach him, almost as if there is a VR wall or something blocking access. The other was a car fire on the NW corner of the map, not sure homw much time i spent dumping water but it would not go out...so I tried to let it burn up, and it would not burn up...???

    Only other "bug" i've noticed is the arrows on the map shoiwng traffic direction doesn't always line up with traffic, E22/L13/B10 all seem to want to go against traffic for everything! :) Not a big issue as it does not affect game play, just though I'd let you guys know. Awsome job with v 2!
