  1. Hi I just want to know how to display a pop-up message when the freeplay map finishes loading. Just like the message that you recieve when you get a subsidy of credits at a certain time of the day in FP mode. Here's a pic of how I want my message: Thanks in advance!
  2. I've been looking through the Forums on this site for awhile, and finally decided to create an account, as I have a problem that I've been struggling with. I have been "cloning" and modifying a few personnel and vehicles from the Los Angeles Mod (for personal use only), and I wish to add them into the game, mostly for Freeplay. There are a few problems I've been unable to solve: 1. I wanted to add a new skin to a vehicle, and I followed the steps in a tutorial I found (http://forum.emergen...nning-vehicles/). I cloned the vehicles I wanted, including one in particular, which I made a new skin for. After following the steps in that tutorial and creating the new vehicle skin, I opened the Editor to edit the prototype for it. I loaded the L.A. Mod, then opened the editing window for it. I wanted to change the skin of this cloned vehicle, but all I can see are the .V3O files, which I can't seem to open in any program (such as Paint.net). I want to keep the existing vehicle and have a clone of it with the new skin in the game at the same time, but I have yet to find a tutorial that tells me how to do this. 2. I want to add new vehicles and personnel to Freeplay, and I want them to be buyable and usable just like the default L.A. Mod units are. Like the vehicle above, I cloned a few vehicles and personnel, then made minor changes for personal use in Freeplay. When I worked with them in the Editor, things seemed fine when finished, as well as when I changed the game files. When I opened Freeplay, they did not appear, and more recently even crashed the game in the same way as the Editor crashed in Problem #1 above, with an instant crash to the Desktop, and no error messages or anything else. The crash happened when I scrolled to the bottom of the Police Vehicles menu, and happened at least twice. When I reinstalled L.A. Mod, the problem went away. I don't want to change existing units, as I want my new units in Freeplay with all of the existing units. I haven't changed anything such as models or anything that seems to be extremely complicated. I know that Hoppah, the creator of the L.A. Mod, has a tutorial on adding new vehicles, but the main site where it is seems to be down, making the tutorial apparently unavailable. Other tutorials, such as the one I gave the link to above, have been helpful until the very end, but I can't seem to make these work. I have very little experience with this, and I haven't found out how to make this work in Freeplay based on other posts. Thanks in advance.
  3. If you play L.A. Mod missions victims can die or lose health on the stretcher or on the way to the hospital in the ambulance, but on freeplay if you put some who cannot travel in an ambulance (their health is too low and the ambulance picture is grayed out) in a BLS or ALS ambulance they dont lose any health ! I tried changing the "difficulty level" to hard and it didn't change does anyone have any ideas or know who to fix it so victims lose health on the way to make it more challenging ? thanks all help is appreciated

I need a map-dev for this project: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/topic/15061-chester-county-montana-submod/ You'll need to have experience in designing a map texture, editing terrain and scenery, as well as developing events, triggers, paths and so-on to fill the map and make it complete. If you apply I'll need to see a "portfolio" (examples) of your work to determine if you fit the bill or not. Whoever is chosen (if anyone) will receive substantial credit in the final version of the submod, and will be granted early access to submod content. During your work you will be supplied with necessary buildings etc. to complete the map, and I will work on it with you, although it will be primarily your responsibility. Please be assured that you will not be working in vain. My submod has already been released as a beta and is on its way to completion. If you're interested please reply & PM me.
  5. I'm not sure if this has been posted before, if it has I apologize but I did try to search for it on here. I have the NYC mod v1.01 and I was curious if it's possible to change the types of freeplay incidents to just fires, explosions and MVA's. If anyone knows how to do this please let me know...

    Riots Only?

    I've been playing NY Mod for some time and have been DYING to use Disorder Control Unit in the game, because riots in the LA Mod aren't that realistic, having to get the SWAT team to respond to Illegal Demonstration Calls. I was just wondering: is there any way to change the script for the NY Mod PROPERLY so that I only get Riot calls in free play mode? I've changed the script before to turn off some calls (like Rabid Dogs and Gas Pipe Explosion). What I've tried is turn off all the other events by changing the Value in the script to "0" and left Demonstrations on "1", but when I play, nothing happens. Also, is there any way to add more Demonstration Locations to the NY Mod Map using editor?
