  1. You know that Ilford is, err, not in South London?
  2. I've worked several festivals, I can assure you that's remarkably realistic.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. If it's any consolation, neither do they. ;-)HART were really intended to be a resource for major incidents - chemical attack on public transport, building collapses, that sort of thing. Their formation spun out of the September 11 attacks and the introduction was accelerated by the July 7 bombings. They also have a medical and rescue capability that has developed to include rescue from height, from water, from 'active shooter' or MTFA situations and from other hazardous environments. This tends to get them deployed to fires, particularly 'persons reported' or to chemical incidents with trumpton or to entrapments. They also have Polaris, so they get sent to jobs that might otherwise involve a bit of carrying. Fortunately for us, these things happen slightly more often in EM4 than they do in the real world so HART have had to find other things to do in case ambulance crews who work for a living were to think that they're lazy wankers. So, most HARTs will operate an RRU that operates much like a normal RRU but might be prioritised more to 'rescue' jobs and they will also respond to standby at incidents - providing cover at a fire or waiting for someone to be talked down off a bridge. 4. In case anyone's still interested, this is a mate's photo of what SECAMB HART are running from Dartford at the moment. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. The kit is national (all under the auspices of NARU). I'm reasonably certain that SECAMB HART have it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Extrication boards are evil! Nobody should be using them for immobilisation or transport. Ever. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. HEAA's Essex aircraft is near Colchester, their Herts aircraft is near Harlow. EAAA stay north of essex except at night. You're right that the LAA aircraft is closest, but it won't be leaving London unless it's a proper juicy job. Kent is more likely to get mutual aid from Hants & IoW. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. If they work!My only experience is from London HEMS where they changed from scoobie to the Octavia VRS which have turned out to be much more reliable.
  9. I suspect this might be a bit much for most players, however, I'd love to see stuff like this. One of my work interests is Emergency Planning (predominantly the medical systems) and I'd love to be able to use EM4 for tabletop exercises. Unfortunately, I can't see anyone being interested in tabards for Equipment Officer or Medical Advisor on the ambulance characters or in building a plethora of command units, equipment tenders and whatnot. 10. I think the mod is beautifully designed and made, but the gameplay can be so very frustrating. Why is the unit wayfinding so poor? Wrong way up one-way-streets and going the long way round (particularly in the bottom right corner of the map), is this a failure of the game or the map or the units? What can I do to avoid this? Is there any way that the traffic can be directed away? I'm frustrated by going to an event and having to work around NPC vehicles around the scene that I can't move, that will ignore the police officers unless they're physically in the way, that will prevent me getting units in to or away from the event and that will gum up the map. Sorry for the rant, I've spent weeks desperately trying to love these mods, but it's all just too much.
