  1. Love the mod! Only things I'd suggest are spine boards, traffic vests for pd/EMS, tasers, traffic cones for more immersion. I also noticed the dolphin CG helicopter can't drop or pickup a rescue swimmer. I assume the rescue swimmer is just a reskin of the engineer in the base game?

  2. I'm still in shock over yesterday. Who would have thought a brushfire could cause such wide spread community destruction. We aren't talking about a normal wildfire in the mountains. This was a suburban area where the fires destroyed everything and anything in its path. I've never seen a fire move this fast in my life. One second a brushfire, next second homes, neighborhoods, and towns completely engulfed in flames.

I used to think Emergency 4 wasn't realistic when fires got out of hand and spread from building to building in minutes but now that scenario feels all too real. My heart aches for those that lost their homes. I live an hour north in a very similar setting and I still can't imagine suburban neighborhoods like the one I live in could be burnt to the ground. One day you can have a roof over your head and the next day it could be gone. Be thankful for what you have, it can all easily be taken away or destroyed quicker than you'd ever think. Praying for everyone that is going through the difficult times. Just for perspective, severe drought mixed with extreme winds one day.. snow and winter storms the very next day. All this could have been avoided if it would of snowed just one day earlier. Over a thousand homes completely destroyed. An event that will stick with me the rest of my life. A true hell of a fire storm.

  3. Hope you are able to fix your system. No man should be without a working PC. Maybe it will give you a chance to catch up on some life stuff. I remember my gpu breaking which set me back a pretty penny right before covid. I fear my psu might be outdated as well. Did you have any sound indicators before it shat the bed? I think I have an old fan bearing going out on mine.

Most departments in my county, which is mostly volunteer and just starting to convert to paid, run tools on a squad truck. The engines are dedicated more to fighting fire. Even though, rural nature, there aren’t many structure fires. The brushes, or squads, run on almost every call. They are the most used trucks.

In my case specifically, a station in my area  took an old Ram truck, and turned it to a brush truck with a slide out on the bed to store the new battery powered hurst tools.

For my local station, they used to carry the air tanks used to refill SCBA on the squad truck. It’s just, cheaper, and more practical to concentrate your resources into a single unit in areas where they don’t have access to big city money where they can have dedicated companies for different functions. That’s why combination units, like the quint or rescue pumper, have become increasingly popular, most notably in smaller departments.

I guess its all dependent on the department. Wellington Co. the town I volunteered in is basically a small city at this point so even though the department is made up of mostly volunteers and reserve crews its starting to become more of a city than the small farming town that it used to be. Mostly medical calls, MVA, few structure fires luckily. They also run an engine for medical calls so I'm not sure that is standard practice for smaller towns.

I don’t know about the engine but he mentioned that the Brushes will carry extrication tools as that is their main run vehicle.

Most Volunteer departments don't cary extrication tools in a tiny brush truck. Its usually stored in an engine or rescue truck because of its size

  6. Possibly a future idea for a map, where my uncle lives in Montana the fire station is a shared building with the police station. Kinda a cool setup

Also if you haven't already came up with a hazmat idea I know that the Laurel Mt area has a bunch of oil refineries and train yards. Just some ideas to potentially add to your town. I'm guessing you are looking more towards the non industrial more agriculture feel but the dirty refinery towns need some love too haha.

  7. As a former admin on Arma 3 I used to tell people "12 units of time" every time someone would ask for a "release date" 😂

Btw you are a scripting genius. I'm hoping for some advanced parking action. Hopefully there are some EMS related scripts? 😏

  8. These threads make me laugh cause mods/devs get frustrated with people asking for relsease dates or asking if it will be taken out of (private) mode?

What do they think is going to happen when all people read is continuous updates on how awesome "this private mod" is on a public forum of an outdated game? I could understand if there was a whitelisted community or an actual excuse for choosing to keep the mod private but if you are dangling something over peoples heads for no particular reason then I'd expect the backlash.

Frankly I see it as a scummy thing to do considering most people I knew in 2012 have moved on but the people that chose to comeback have nothing new, fresh or exciting to look forward to. I'd assume most people that look forward to the updates on this page are "private members" that have access to the mod?

  9. Awesome to see progress on this mod. Btw, that collapsible stretcher in the private "City of Angels mod"  or whatever it is called, it looks like a masterpiece. As a former EMT I give it two thumbs up and I can only hope its implemented in future public mods. 🤤

  10. I recently found the Montana mod after watching many YouTube videos and trying to search for a link to download this mod. Perhaps I just got lucky finding it ^_____^. Anyways, I've seen some really awesome features that I've never seen in any other em4 mod which makes the Montanna mod stand out from the rest in my opinion. I thought of some features in other mods that you could implement in this mod to give it extra detail. keep up the awesome work!

    - Add an option to change into EMS reflective coat.

    - Have the option for fire fighters to take off turnout gear.

    - Take out the black and yellow fire fighters turnout gear. Most volunteer departments I've seen have a tan coat and a yellow helmet.

    - PASS device alarm for downed fire fighters. I've figured out how to implement this already but it seems like the fire fighters in this mod can't be killed. (Hopefully fixed in the next version)

    - Helicopter with working rotors.

    - Textures for the Air ambulance crew

    - Ability for Fire/Police dispatch to call more specialty units.

    - Ability to grab an assault rifle from the patrol cars (even though the shot gun is pretty bad ass).

    - Possibly make a bigger fire station so the ambulance can be stationed there.

    - Make a garage next to the Ranger Station for a USFS fire truck

    - Limit the Rangers patrol path to the forest areas.

    - Add in a Highschool with a football field for a small town American look. (Much needed. I'm sick of seeing soccer fields haha)

    - Add more fire hydrants near commercial and residential areas.

( These are only suggestions ) Feel free to leave input and your thoughts.

  11. Is there any way to transfer over the PASS device sound file so I can use it in the Manhattan mod?

Nvm Dustin answered my question for me. You have to go into audio, fx and then open up the voices folder, man, folder 2 and then transfer over injured01 and injured02 from one mod to the other. Pretty simple once I found the damn PASS device sound. Took me a half hour to figure out where it was located haha.

  12. @ Hoppah

after consulting the chief developer for technical solutions, information technologies and system integration from our company i can assure you and announce there is a mobile phone version planned for RCMP mod.

the final announcement for the estimated release date for any mobile application will be made during the upcoming keynote presentation of RCMP mod CEO CFD or goog.

for now i can say there will be an iphone iOs based application - developing status about 86% - which is gonna be released round the fourth quarter of 2030.

the release of the aquivalent Android application will be delayed till march 2031 due to minor technical and some license issues with Google ® company and it's shareholders.

    thank you for you're patience

    :D

I'm holding you to that lol
  13. I can't seem to get the mod to work. I dragged the mod files into the Em4/911FR "Mods" and kept them in their original folder (extracted, of course), and I've installed the patches and such, but to no avail. I'll load the game, click the mod and load it, and when it gets to 100 percent, it crashes to the desktop. I've tried clean-installing the mod again and restarting the computer right afterward, but nothing seems to help.

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

    CPU: AMD FX-6100

    RAM: 12GB

GPU: nVidia GTX 570, 4gb dedicated RAM

Anybody have any ideas? I really want to try this mod out, it looks absolutely fantastic and I've been following it for some time, ever since Dyson first posted with the original idea. :P

For me I encountered the same problem, but it turns out my crash to desktop was caused by Intel. Soon after I bought a new computer it now works fine
