Hi...i played around with it alot,and now im on these settings,

In campaign it works right away...but in freeplay you have to start a new game to see the new settings.

I found by changing these lines only of the original em4.cfg:

<var name="e4_maxcamz" value="100000" />

<var name="e4_mincampitch" value="14." />

<var name="e4_mincamz" value="60." />

Gives full zoom in/out and more rotation downwards.

hi guys, I know this topic hasn't been posted in for a VERY long time, but I changed my values to the same as TR BLUNT's, and now my game is ultra laggy, is there something that can fix that? thanks...

Restore it to the original values, edit the values untill the game isn't lagging anymore or buy a better videocard ;)

Ok, how much in US dollars are new video cards?

Well, I got pretty much new card (Nvidia 8800GTX) and it is laggy if I zoom out a lot in editor.

There is no way around it, the game is not just made to work like that.

And video card is only like 1/10 of success.

the file u need to edit is called em4/cfg. this is located in the main em4 directory

u need to change mainly the mincamz from 1400 to 100 and mincampitch to 27. this is what i have and it works pretty well

Can someone please help me, Im having some trouble with this. I can open the configuration file in notepad fine but when I try to save it after changing it, I can't save it. Can anybody help me with this?

I can't see a reason why it would not let you save. Perhaps you could try right mouse click on the config file and select edit instead of open, then make your changes and save. See if that works.

EDIT: Now Another problem has shown up, I can edit the file with no problem, when I done that and try play the game, nothing changed. What am I doing wrong? I might changed the name of the file by an accident, not sure, im using the deluxe edition of emergency 4. I have tryed every value posted here.
