      Signatures   03/04/2016

Hi everyone. It appears that the update to the new forum has affected the format of the majority of signatures (adding extra spaces, changing sizes etc.). Due to this, could everyone please check their own signature, ensuring that it complies with the site rules. See the http://www.emergency-planet.com/tos.html/ or http://www.emergency-planet.com/topic/16848-acceptable-signature-sizes/ for more information.  We'll give it a few weeks to give enough time to edit signatures, after that the unnecessarily large signatures will simply be removed. Thanks for your cooperation. Regards, EMP Staff.

Hello,

Some of you may be wondering or filled with curiosity of why Project Reality Lights has changed to a brand new sparkling name, The " LEDesigns".

Since 2009, The beginning of my light editing, I have brought over dozens updates that had fueled my reputation and determination to depict new lights, to disenchant, and to create new realism to help improve EM4 and especially Hoppah's Mod, for a better and stronger player base, so we can all unite and become a community that beats lively and largely by so many different characters, whom are mesmerized and fascinated by the Logic and the idea of First Responders and the agencies behind the roles, the state of being preoccupied; or intellect by what we hear, see and do and that we attempt to re-enact through games, and that being said, 911 First Responders, being the greatest example ( or Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, just to be safe...).

With Project Reality Light, the goal of that Sub mod was to bring you LA Based Lights, and unfortunately i have not met that goal 100% but i have reached to the sufficient level to safely say, I have achieved the goal, and most people are satisfied with it. However, along the journey, i have been confronted by Several Members that has their own facts and their misocainea attitude towards Project Reality Lights, I have became a neoteric person, and that has changed the whole game plan.

We are coming into the New Age of Warning Devices and LED Technology in Real Life, that many new products are made, and they are becoming more sophisticated and elegant in appearance - that our Police Forces, Fire Department and EMS are receiving new "Cosmetics" looks and updates for their fleet and fellow officers, and right now they are becoming really modern that the appearance not only looks Concealed but furtive.

If you want to understand my point, take your time to look on Youtube and check out the modern police cars, such as Unmarked units, and notice how our modern technology looks more advanced and furtive comparing to 2005-under.

There are now police officers driving vehicles that is equipped with warning devices, but they aren't obvious to detect anymore now. I have seen a Tahoe, a Civilian model, and it fooled me because it was actually a Traffic Unit, and for a Traffic unit, you'd see Mirror LEDS and Interior LEDS --- This unit had Wig Wags, Exterior Hide-a-Ways, really small LED Caps along the running board, and LED hide-a-ways in the rear, with very thin Interior Lights Products, and they are so thin that i couldn't notice them in the first place, even at my second glance and When the SUV lit up, it was like a Christmas tree. It went from a "Mom SUV" look to a Police Unit.

It was more discreet than regular unmarked Tahoe and Suburbans that we'd normally see all over ( Equipped with Bulkier Interior and Exterior LED Lights) and the concept behind it inspired me.

So now, My Sub mod is going to pursue the idea of being more surreptitious, more realistic and improved.

LEDesigns will not be concentrating on one State, such as California. We are now going International. However, do not fear, I will have the LA Units made to their Code, and once I'm finished with that, i will be going international and will be taking everybody's requests. You may now request yourself a new light package, it can be based off Las Vegas Police, or Georgia State Police ( Blue/Blue Lights).

No more California Lights! I'm somewhat happy about this now, that i can finally make lights that i wanted to add on unmarked/marked prototypes. Hopefully It'll please you guys!

We will also team up with other Sub mods when we have available time and space. LEDesigns is also seeking light editors so we can form LEDesigns into a Team. It can be anyone! Just have the right experience and skills and you're aboard! Just post a request in this thread and I'll contact you.

Its time to Move Forward, Quality over quantity.

Progress of Projects:

LA Mod - 20% Complete

NY Submod - 50% Complete

Miscellaneous Units/Prototypes by CFD - 30%

-------------------CURRENT UPDATE ----------------------

Minor Release

Hey all, i apologize for the lack of release, and you may notice that i have kept certain release in small quantity, so i hope you guys don't mind the individuals or couple new releases, as I'm getting more busier in real life, lol.

Now, this is another Unmarked edit, and yes, some of you may notice that i enjoy working on unmarked units than marked units...I'm obsessed with the slick top/unmarked concept because it's very universal, i can do tons of different light styles and packages on one vehicle, so i hope you don't mind that...

Now, this one is different, and new...It was inspired by Modern packages that I've noticed on newer police packages throughout the world, and this one is primarily inspired by the new Ford Interceptor, mainly the hide-a-way lights. The design of my vehicle is a Traffic low profile unit, so that means it won't have mirror beams, and push bar lights. This unit will have LAWs in the rear and front, as well side lighting. It's very standard yet effective.

I'm not really focused on the EMS/FD apparatus as I've done them so many times, and I'm helping out with Dyson and his NY sub mod, sorta.

I hope you guys enjoy it, and if you'd like me to make your local unmarked/slicktop police package, I'd be glad to do it, so feel free to give me ideas, whether if the lights will be blue/blue or red/red or any kind of state law packages...I will start working on the unmarked Impala, Tahoe and Charger, so again, feel free to add ideas. If you add concept ideas of a Marked unit, i will most likely ignore it.

p.s Some of you argued that i should stay towards CA code, and some of you stated that i should go universal, well my answer is that I'm going universal, not everybody appreciates the California Lighting code, like myself, so i will start add various of different codes, so get used to it.

Project unreality #12.345 by the blinky light brigade.

Talked with Mikesphotos about lights for hours and he told me that:

-Updated the LAPD SUV-LED Grill Lights, Yellow Corner Strobes, Fixed the Back Pattern Lights

SUV's do not have corner strobes nor LED grille lights. The lights in the grill are halogen.

and Slicktop (( Added Grill LEDs, based off real life. Also Fixed Hide-A-Way Lights)).

Only traffic divison slicktops have grill LED's and no hideaways. The slicktop in the LA Mod is not from traffic divison.

Are you sure you did not base the lights off of tv-shows?

And what's up with the word 'fixed'? Is there something broken/bugged in base mod? Or does that have to do with Tony's lights?

Hoppah

A Response from the Blinky Light Brigade

Beg my pardon for not seeing " Traffic Division" when i saw photos of an LAPD Slicktop. As for the SUV, The Corner Strobes will be removed. I don't care about halogen, it still serves its purpose: Blinky Red/Blue lights. Thank you for the corrections. Most Unit's Lights were based off Youtube videos of LAPD, LAFD in action.

Traffic division vehicles have push bumpers, which is the easiest way of telling them apart as I've taught hoppah.

In regards to the SUV, are you basing your lights off the Supervisor/Command Post Chevy Tahoes? The model in the game is the LAPD Ford Explorer used by OHV and other specialty depts. No rear door lights, no grille lights, just flashing headlights an mx7000 and sometimes an arrow bar on the roof. This has been discussed on this board before here

This is where i got ideas from.

The SUV in that pic parked at the intersection and about half of the cars in that video are not LAPD but are Culver City PD who assisted with that pursuit. That is one of the difficulties in relying on blurry youtube videos for "realism. You're going to miss half of the patterns and flashes because of frames per minute in addition to difficulty in distinguishing various departments from one another.

Also to get on my moderator soap box

Mike has a point, your SUV lights are based off a Tahoe not an Explorer. Can we see a youtube video? You tend to do so many vast changes from one set to another Im not sure I want to upgrade. Oh and I doubt the charger lights actually flash at the same time like that when in pursuit. I think they were just set on a demo pattern.

The LED Lights has nothing to do with real life patterns. Its just made by me. I have fixed the LAPD SUV, and Slicktop CV.

I dunno...the lights maybe?

-Updated the CHP CV ( Arrow Stick), Also added Exterior RED Lights, based off Real life ( Two Red Bumper LED, and Two Red Side Mirror LED, all flashes at the same time, mimicking real life pattern:

Wrong CHP CV file included as i tested this out and there are no Bumper LEDs and no Side Mirror LEDs. THe arrow stick is updated though, I believe.

I think I will be sticking with your Tony's Light set that you did and fixing up the problems myself. Maybe in the future i will switch over to this pack if it doesnt continue to have missing vehicle commands, bugs addressed, and isnt missing updated prototypes half the time. Your lights are great, dont get me wrong, but I have come to the point its no longer worth the hassle of trying to update and fix things every time you release a new set.

BTW You do know that the default lighting for the LA mod was done by Hoppah to mimic that of the real life counter part right?

I admire your lighting, especially the colored headlight strobes, they are well placed and timed. For those interested in LA realistic lights (At least as of this post's date), These lights are NOT LA Realistic. I'm in the process of turning mine back(I liked some things that were added, but a blue/red traffic bar? Not working for me.)

This is not a flame post at all. I spent 4 hours last night on lights, getting 1/4 of what I'm changing done, and it's certainly not easy. Kudos to CFD for such well though placement and timing on his lights, but its WAYYY too flashy for me. I kept side lights on my UC and Slicktop, as well as a pair of rear window lights that I changed to Blue/Yellow to match what I've seen here in LA fairly often.

Keep up the good work, CFD!

P.S. 150 lights on the Ladder... WOW. I didn't consider how much lighting was there.

^I agree CFD has done a marvelous job but like you I will be rolling back as I said. I personally havent noticed red or blue traffic bars other then a red and blue on the tips and while it may not be realistic, as I have never seen a traffic advisory with a red and/or blue light on the end, i think its a nice touch none the less.

I do hope you will continue to do more "Christmas tree" light packages, just in smaller scale changes. NFK can correct me if i am wrong but his packages for Tony's Lights were usually small changes from release to release unless he was completely replacing the stock lighting from the LA Mod.

To End all this.... If YOUDONT like what he does with the cars and find it un realistic.. then dont download it? make your own maybe? then you will be satisfied.. good luck to all of you that try..... btw i like the lights... thank you

.....

P.S. 150 lights on the Ladder... WOW. I didn't consider how much lighting was there.

The ladder is so bad because there are6 individual lights on front and then 2 lights on back, all with the rotars, that is 32 lights, and that is just a start, then the "strobe" lights he did require 2 lights each... It adds up quickly

I do hope you will continue to do more "Christmas tree" light packages, just in smaller scale changes. NFK can correct me if i am wrong but his packages for Tony's Lights were usually small changes from release to release unless he was completely replacing the stock lighting from the LA Mod.

No, you are right, I would only release little changes, so you could choose what you wanted... Now each update did have all the previous ones in it, unless it was a patch. I plan to do the same later on , with something else.

More or less, that's what I would've said. I have a personal preference with lights, as do most people, mine is realistic. I won't be downloading this, however I will gladly help any time it's needed, and I still do my own. I stopped because I didn't like the whole "Christmas tree" thing that Tony's lights was doing, and I figured, CFD can do it now, he knows, so he can take over, he likes them like that, so let him do it the way he wants, and I'll do my own, with the light bars, and such, just not as much.

Though I do agree with Xplorer, try and do updates more often with less, then less often with more, some people would rather get it in drabs then big piles. But once again, your mod, do it your way, and remember keep your fans happy, and then you'll be on your way :)

Oh, I don't mind the insane amount of lights, it just made me laugh. For the other comments, notice I praised his lights and specified, since the title project reality:realistic lights sounds misleading, that I would clarify. No ones flaming here. Read aain on my comments about how hard it is to do lighting.

I hope the hard part wasn't directed towards me! :1046274283_heul: I worked hard on these for a while, I know they aren't easy!

it should be

It wouldn't work unless it was like in a mission, to have it weaving would require pathing, which would be totally impractical to make, let alone use...

Well if we dont download it, and he doesnt provide a video we dont know if we like it or not. Notice I never flamed his work or anything like that. I did give him some constructive crticisim. Plus, as other pointed out, this is supposed to be a reality based project based on real life LA unit lights, but in actuality this is not the case.

No, you are right, I would only release little changes, so you could choose what you wanted... Now each update did have all the previous ones in it, unless it was a patch. I plan to do the same later on , with something else.

Thanks for clearing that up, and at times, and I know you wont take offense to this, CFD has done sets I enjoy more then yours, and vice versa. I was pointing this out as so far this thread hasnt gotten the most positive reviews so I was hopping this advice would be useful to CFD.

it should be

1) It has nothing to do with lights and 2) how would that be the least bit practical?
