  1. Hi everyone, Its been a LLOONNGG time since i've posted here, but I best to the point I've re-installed EM4, however, I had the "CTD on start" crash, which I then fixed by stripping my machine of most of the codecs. However, I now have a different issue. When I go to the menu (IE the main menu) insted of their being "buttons", theirs a bunch of "ID_STATIC_" things, these stll work as buttons though. Anyone have any ideas on how best to fix this? I'm on win7 64bit. I would attach my logfile, However, EM4 doesn't seem to have generated one.... EDIT: I've solved the issue, turns out I went a little TOO crazy when I was stripping away the codecs, that and I needed to run EM4 in UAC mode once so that EM4 could create the nessecery links. Can a admin get rid of this post please?

But This mod for rig of rods looks very similar to the oshkosh that you "made" http://www.rigsofrods.com/threads/70502-Oshkosh-Hemtt Also considering that you said that you were a "amature" then its rather unlikely that you made that model, I could be wrong and you could have made that oshkosh, But considering that you used a model that you didn't make before, then i'm betting you did the same again.
  3. The reason why RoR is so CPU hungry is because the physics egine has been taken to the next level and then some... So far i've been toying around with one of the many stock physics engines that work with ogre, and as i'm not having some ultra complex trace every falling brick simulator (granted its going to have a decent physics engine) I recon that Me and the team (if there is ever going to be a team) can keep it to a single core CPU. Im temped to move away from ogre though, as its not the nicest of render engines out there. Anyone got any suggestions? ~dan

  6. Have you asked permission to use the oshkosh TFFT? It just looks very similar to one on the google sketchup warehouse, infact most of those look like they came from there...
  7. Hello everyone, This idea has been mentioned on here several times before, but nothing really seems to have been done to make it a reality. The idea? Its basicly a cross between Rig Of Rods and Emergancy 4 (bear with me) What you do is you have a city/, and you have to command the fire dept (maybe EMS and police) VIa the use of a station, and you drive the trucks to the scene and fight the fire (which is were the rig of rods comes in) Using multiplayer you will be able to join your friends, each "player" will be apointed a station, (which is bascily a faction or clan) which they serve for, with the station commander giving the orders. I'm asking the community to lend a hand with this, At the monent theres 2 guys working on it (me and a bloke named rich) We have one or two 3d models, that are unfinished. I'm also trying to start with the code (ogre) but its proving difficult. So, i'm asking if anyone is any good at modelling, coding etc etc could they please give me a lift in making this happen? If its ever finished then i'm going to release it as a open source project thats free for all.   8. hey, i've found some bugs: 1. theres bug that if you use the rapid deployment the guys get out the truck, get the hoses, then run to the north of the map 2. the brush truck is messed up 3. the mass casulty doesn't dispatch, same with the FBI truck (leave the station) All these are in multiplayer

  11. I see, sorry it was a long day, has anyone seen the dev of this mod in a while? i sent him the pictures of the ship i was building for approval and have had nothing back in over 3 weeks
  12. I think that realsing it when its finished is a good idea, but maybe make a SDK to go with the mod, to make modding the mod easier,
  13. pritty mod.... good to here your back and working on the mod, also, do you want me to make the mca contracted tug for you? i'm working on the anglian monoach (if thats how you spell it) for virtual sailor, and could convert it over to em4 format, but you'd have to script it as i have no idea on that, i could make the abellie bourbon insted if you so wished (as both vessels are under contract, along with the bourbon liberty i think)
