Hey @itchboy, here's an unmarked LAFD tactical medic unit, in case you're looking for an example of an unmarked LAFD unit that has L&S. Please note that the rear light is red and amber, as opposed to the red and blue on unmarked and slicktop LAPD units.

That's cool but you're in the wrong thread, this is the New York thread.

Feel free to repost this back in the LA thread.

Sadly the tactical medic did not exist in the 90s.

  2. It's been a while. First thing I can say is that we've been gifted new spec found. MotoStringer got us a new McCormick ambulance variation.

This guy is legit as hell, if you're interested in these retro tapes, give him a sub.

Another update is progress is coming really slowly. Recently, I began to texture the civilian vehicles and vehicle bases for additional units.

This one's special - I've been meaning to get one made to replace the Jeep model we already have.
Texture and miscellaneous parts by Yankee43. He did a great job and I hope you guys can give him some love too.

With all this in mind, I'll cut back the traffic set even more. I'm not really getting as far as I want to with progress. I'll revert back to my original concept of replacing only the bare minimum, or else I'll never complete these assets, at the current rate of work.

I'm sorry guys, it had to be done. It's hideous, pitiful but it's history.

I look forward to all the laughs this thing will give you when it's ingame, equipped and ready to drive.

Now here's something more macho. It turns out there's no less than 6 variations of this Ford ambulance that NYC*EMS used. I'll try to make as many of them as I can. The other team members will be doing livery work on this, unless there's any takers looking to help.

All work in this post is by me.

At the risk of turning this into a depository of archive photos like the LA Nostalgia mod, is there any chance I could see a few? For some reason I haven't been able to find more than a quick front view of an old Taurus.

This isnt my mod or my thread, but I wouldnt mind if people posted research here.

Allow me to start off with the ones I found off archive video and google

There are photos of the Chevy Caprice, Plymouth Gran Fury and Plymouth Reliant on Facebook, posted by AJ Illenotna. I don't know how to upload them here without breaking my attachment limits, but you can find them there using his name.

I'm proud of what we've found, especially the Bronco II. Seems that nobody else knows about it.

    Spoiler

    LASD SWAT チームの写真も載せておきます。参考になれば幸いです。

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the generosity. I couldn't do this without help from people like you.

I was surffing in Facebook when this pops up:

Acording to Greenlight, is a 1987 Chevrolet C20 LAPD Serarch and Rescue Mounted Platoon and Horse Trailer.

I guess that the Mouned Platoon we aint gona see it, but hope that the truck would help to your investigation

This is real, the pic was posted in the reply below yours. Sadly, police horses are still out of reach for Em4. I'll revisit it in case we can make it work.

As for all other discussions, I'll try to iron out bugs for the next version. However I stand by my decision not to rework the current assets; it's just too much work and gets in the way of fixing the bugs that are already there.

Hey Itchboy, can we have a guide to the Script menu, which difficulties and presets trigger which calls?

I won't give the specifics but the general rules are like this:

Callout type can be 1-4 for each type (fire, EMS, PD) and then difficulty is a range of 1-3  I believe.

Sub event is each specific type of the call within each difficulty bracket. I didn't memorize how many events were available for each bracket so you'll have to test it out.

I believe someone did a partial guide on how to make it work, somewhere in this thread.

    Hope this helps you.

I think they would be cool as another option, maybe as an additional unit that spawns on patrol along with the marked car. I wonder if you've given any thought to trying to incorporate a removeable beacon on the unmarked Malibu like I've seen on some of the German and Spanish mods, though I'm not sure the complexity is worth it for the few weirdos like me who love those things

    Uh oh

That beacon is supposed to be removable when you turn the lights off.

If it doesnt de-spawn then you've found a bug.

  8. Halloween is upon us once again. The Yearly Tradition™ continues. It's not LA related but I love doing this every year.

On an LA related update, I've decided I'll scale back the updates for the mod. It is taking way too long to update and remake 60 assets. It's just too much work to remodel, relight and retexture every LTD, CVPI, Caprice, all the ambulances and most of the pickup trucks in the mod.

Instead I'll focus on adding new vehicles and new spec. The point of diminishing returns has come and gone. Whatever improvements I make to existing assets don't really improve the overall presentation anymore.

    Itch,

have you given any thought to adding LASD plainclothes deputies to the unmarked Caprice and Malibu? I have distinct memories of seeing deputies with these green windbreakers in the 90s on the news, but I've only been able to find a few photos so far.

I am interested in doing this but I don't have a purpose for these units. Maybe random spawn chance?

Unfortunately, since my posts always have to be activated by moderators (when a link is in it?), it always takes a while.
But you are welcome to read the English manual, which can be found in the mod folder under 1_readme...

Sorry about that. It has to be done this way due to the significant influx of spam bots that attack this site regularly.

I'm just wondering, who thought turning stop signs into pseudo traffic lights was a good idea? I figured out, that this is why the area gets clogged up with traffic. Redirecting just adds more fuel to the fire, because you can redirect cars only once.

I'm going to rewrite the script in the future. I'll have to study new methods in how to make it work.

For the time being I recommend using the delete traffic button.

Prior to 2.5, there was a stop sign script that was in the mod that apparently did not work. I thought it would be a good value proposition to get it working, turns out I probably should have left it out.
