  1. I dont post often on here but may i say Wow! in regards to the hydrant/ calls and stations issues...I wouldn't change a thing. this game is by far the best balance mod of EM4 i have played yet. If you don't like the calls..change the parameters to 180. it makes it nicely paced. I love the tankers being so critical to the game..just as it is in real life..although if you could implement drafting would be absolutely insane (use the jump pad as a idea for a pond) but as it stands your scrips make this game a blast. Looking forward to the patch that eliminates some traffic bugs but for a rush-released mod this seems very well sorted. Props to you!
  2. So i can safely say this game is absolutely awesome! have played it for hours without many issues but there are a couple. satellite 6 has the limited water script but cant be hooked up to anything, which this unit is crucial to put out fires in the sporadic inaccessible locations that pop up from time to time (possibly make this unit have to hook up to engine 207 for realism?). I have had issues with the chauffeur, either him loosing the ability to unhook the hose after a while of game play and as another member said the wye is bugged (it always has been since the LA mod) other than that i would like to see a few more major fires pop up, the tow truck and tac unit animations seem to be missing, and with all these parks i would like to see the pep patrol! all in all this is your best mod yet. cheers!
  3. something snowmobile related, like snowmobile crossing signs. your in major snowmobiling territory. also not that far from some major national parks and Indian war battlefield national parks.
  4. Any chance of a late model ford escape? These are common around most cities for everything from taxi's to security and just personal use.
  5. Awesome mod! Manhattan 3.05c runs flawlessly..one suggestion I would make is with all the parks on the map add the NYC park patrol..yeah we already have the auxillary police which it would basically duplicate, but it would add realism for the cost of re-skinning a SUV or pickup truck and a officer. all being said massively looking forward to this next installment!
  6. Got 3.04 to work great! the models files for the new vehicles seemed not to be copying. the mod runs great for me however the ESu units still have to return to station function..I sadly have the amazon copy so i no longer have the editor as i would change that myself but other than that its flawless. Great work!
  7. so i downloaded 3.02 and it worked great! awesome work as always! however when i download and install 3.04 the mod installs and starts fine however the new units come up as missing mod files. i installed the mod by coppy and pasting all the files into my 3.02 folder but i am clearly doing something wrong..what that is i have no clue..any suggestions would be greatly appreciated-thanks.
  8. Hi there, I don't often reply on this forum but I find this mod intriguing. I work for the New york state department of environmental conservation and first off I am happy to see my part of the world repented in a game format, so I would like to give a suggestion. In terms of HAZMAT, many small towns cannot afford a dedicated HAZMAT service, that's where the Department (or DEC) comes in. We have trained staff who are always on call who man specialized trucks(see image below) who respond to many rural based hazmat events. Even though these are for spills, they will respond to most any HAZMAT events. Its simply a suggestion, and I am sure you would want more of "truck", but it is how these types of events are usually handled. Hope to see a forest ranger truck make it into the mod, Either way good luck and hope to see some cool stuff in the future! (thank you hudsonfire.com for image)
  9. The Taxi most likely belongs to the NYPD Anti-crime/taxi-squad unit who's mission is to drive around and search for crime while its happening. I believe the TLC drives marked units.
  10. Police cars are quite a bit more expensive than one might think.MY work shares its fleet with the new york state police, and they had a fleet of brand new Crown Vics, With everything installed on it the window sticker read 36,000. The Chevy Tahoe's had a sticker of $46,000. This is The state contract price, so they wont get a discount off of that.
  11. The door file is linked to the original skin of the LAPD car (if you look in your folder, there will be a file for each door the LAPD car but not for the car you skinned). To change the paint on the doors you either have to re-paint the LAPD car (which you probably don't want to do) or you can try and make new doors(or copy them?) and assign it to your car so the skin of that body shows up on the doors. Now linking the door file to the skin is easy, how ever I am having trouble myself making a set of doors for the car I am working on. Hopefully some one can help us on that issue.
  12. Anyone have any advice on trying to make a new set of doors for the lapd2 car? so far I have tried just copying the cv_lapd_door1,2,3 files, rename them to cv_lapd2_door1,2,3, and editing the v3o code so it is connected to the lapd2 as mikeyPI suggested. In the prototype folder I also copied the cv_lapd_door1,2,3 files and renamed them to cv_lapd2_door1,2,3. I then changed each file from em4 file to v30 and changed the codes inside to read lapd2 instead of lapd. this gives me a new set of doors but they are just duplicates of the original LAPD door, not the new ones with the markings off of the LAPD2 file. Sorry if this doesn't make any sense.
  13. So I just downloaded the LAPD Ford crown vic sub mod, with the intentions of changing the skins on the vehicles to Federal protective services police. No problem there, have done that 1000 times. The problem is when I get to the doors and trunk. I know they are separate files, linked to to the skin of the original LAPD crown vic. I duplicated the door files, in both the model and prototype folders and renamed them from cv_lapd_door01 to cv_lapd2_door01 hoping that would cause the skin on those doors to be edited by changing the main crown vic file. This created a new set of doors that I can put on the editor, but they still have LAPD markings and the only way I can edit them is by modifying the original LAPD crown vic file(which I do not want to do). My question is, how to I make it so when I change the skin on the lapd2 car, I also change the skin on the doors? In other words, linking my new set of doors to the Cv_lapd2 file.
  14. I tried searching, but couldn't find another topic about this, so if this is old news my apologies. Ford announced the other day that The Crown Victoria will finally come to an end in 2011, to be replaced by this for Taurus based cruiser. I am not sure how well the front wheel drive version will go over, but a nice car none the less. http://www.fordvehicles.com/fordpoliceinterceptor/ http://www.caranddriver.com/news/car/10q1/2012_ford_police_interceptor-car_news
  15. Very nice Audi hoppah, I am a huge fan of them as well. as said before the A8 and even the R8 are not an uncommon sight in LA. Glad to see some new cars!
