  1. Make a shortcut and add the -editor like this. em4.exe -editor Mine is from Amazon too. Took about 30 minutes to figure it out and 30 to edit the map. Here is a hint, leave the lights in the far NW corner of the map alone. On speeds, I tried 4, 8 and 12. 8 Worked too, but 12 gave a good flow without the start/stop they sometimes do at the light.
  2. I changed them all to from 2 to 12 in the new NY Mod and it fixed all my traffic problems
  3. If you bought it from Amazon.com or some other digital download source then you get the corrupted modinstaller error. Its not pirated, its poor coding. Here is the link to fix it.
  4. MikeyPI, I meant come onto the map. I've had units get stuck inside the station before on LA MOD, but you could highlight them and drive them out. The 2 ladders will not spawn and come onto the map. We tried as the host and the joiner. The good news is in 2 hours of multiplayer play we could find only 2 bugs. 1. was the ladder trucks and 2. there seemed to be a limited number of fire engines that would come out of the map. Once we had 5 or 6 on the map, no more would come out. They would be purchased and show in the vehicle list, but they would not spawn. Was a lot of fun to play multiplayer with this mod, thanks guys.
  5. Tried MP, couldn't get any ladder trucks to deploy from the station. Just for future reference.
  6. Starzfan31, your issue IS related to 911 First Responders, not to any mod. I had the EXACT same issue and I fixed it. To see the fix, follow this link...which you had already posted to.
  7. Stan its fixed now. The problem started when we attempted to run the modinstaller and it would error out. We were never given the opportunity to install a mod.
  8. My buddy and I had the exact same problem downloading from Atari's website. On their forums, lots of people have the same problem with 911 as you did. Atari's solution is to tell you to call the company that downloaded from...they were zero help. They claim the game doesn't have secure rom, but it does and the serial numbers they issue and reissue will not work. SOLUTION....ask for a refund (my buddy and I both got a refund no problems) then goto Amazon.com and download it. Same price and works fine. Hope that helps.
  9. Problem Solved, see below how I got it to work. I did this both for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER 1. Re-install 911 First Responders to C:\Program Files (x86)\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4 instead of the default directory. 2. Start regedit by selecting Start - Run, typing in 'regedit' and then hitting 'OK'. 3. Select 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE' and press the '+' button to its left to expand the list. 4. Next, select 'SOFTWARE' and press the '+' button to its left to expand the list. 5. Right-click on 'SOFTWARE' and select New > Key. Enter the new key name: sixteen tons entertainment 6. Right-click on 'sixteen tons entertainment' and select New > Key. Enter the new key name: Emergency 4 7. Right-click on 'Emergency 4' and select New > String value. Enter the new key name: Installdir 8. Right-click on 'Installdir' and select Modify. In the 'Value Data' field, C:\Program Files (x86)\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4 Now, exit the registry editor by selecting the File menu and then clicking on Exit. I had to do some trial and error to make it work from this post here . Thanks mercurygrandmarquis1
  10. I've also been through the FAQ and adding the Mod folder did not help.
  11. In the downloads section under patches, I only see the cfg files and the french and German patches. I already have 1.3 installed, and I have the modinstaller.exe file.
  12. I downloaded 911: First Responders from Amazon.com. The game plays fine as does the LA Mod. However, I cannot install any other mods because when I try to run ModInstaller.exe I receive an error that 911:First Responders is not properly installed. Please Reinstall. I've searched the forums and attempted this fix. The differences would be WizardWorks instead of Sixteen Tons Entertainment and 911 - First Responders instead of Emergency 4 US. No variation I tried allowed the ModInstaller.exe to run. Does anyone have a known fix to make this installer work? Thanks, Tanker The solution has been found here. http://www.emergency-planet.com/topic/14387-modinstallerexe-will-not-work-911-first-responders-from-amazon/?do=findComment&comment=196759
