  1. I got that part, but as I select verticies, (I am in vertex mode right?) and the lines appear from the vertice on the 3d view. How exactly do I move them? I am dragging to no avail? Sorry I should have specified.

  3. Re-did it. Hopefully better. Currently learning how to extrude. Next comes the front, top, and back.
  4. Okay, I am at the part where I am in zmod. I have the doors selected from the menu on the right. I am in Object mode, in the surface tab. I see edit UV but I cannot seem to find anything related to mirroring.

  7. I textured my ford fusion NYPD out of the Brooklyn Mod V2, and the textures flipped on one side of the car. Only on the doors. How do I fix this? Do I have to make sure the doors are assigned to the correct texture? I tried flipping the letters to reverse the effect but no success.
  8. Okay, I am new to modeling, here is one question I have: Lets say I was going to model one of these vehicles, what is the usual way to go about modeling them? Do you model it as a whole or do the cab and then the box/utility part and then attach them later?
  9. Okay, that makes sense. I appreciate it. I guess you can see where I followed wheel arches and what not, it starts good around there and then gets mushy. Are the grayed-out lines the unattached vertices you are referring to?

  11. Don't worry about it, I'm sure you have a lot to do. It just does not look right. In the tutorial you posted, all the polygons/triangles look so uniform. Mine are all over the place. Is there a pattern you follow? Also, the part about extruding edges to get the features of the vehicle like the slopes over the wheels and the curve of the vehicle itself, I cannot figure how to do that. I am in ZMod3.
  12. I am taking my firs hit at modeling, I honestly cannot tell how well this is coming along, if well at all. If I actually make it through with this then maybe I will release it, 2015 Tahoe is definitely needed around here. Would please like some modeling tips. I have read tutorials and I am kinda stuck at the part where I extrude the edges and features. P.S.   13. Hello, I am working inside my LA Mod that I am fixing up for personal use and I have run into an error. Whenever I click edit children in the edit menu of a vehicle, the game freezes for a sec and then crashes to my desktop. Any help would be appreciated, I have no idea what I make have done. The edit children feature works perfectly fine in all other mods. This is the last line to appear in my log, I have no idea what it means: !WARNING: global listener object is still registered! Unregister listener before destroying object! Here is my log:

  15. Can anyone help me fix this error? I am fixing up LA Mod for my own purposes and I have run into this error message: (_LASirena1651): Error G__getvariable: expression This occurs whenever I try to use the siren for the following vehicles: LAX Crash Truck All Fire Engines at the main station Old Rescue Heavy Rescue Crane Once the error pops up none of the listed vehicles have sirens, other vehicles work fine.
  16. Make sure the vehicle has the enter vehicle command assigned to it in the editor. Also, make sure the player can actually get into the vehicle. For example an EMT cannot get into a police car, so make sure the Police officer is actually able to get into the car in the game files.
  17. I had this issue some time ago, my issue was I had to make sure that the Proto names matches the names under the actual script part. It is all case sensitive. Try sending your script.

  20. So I am a beginner modder, I am starting by adding vehicles and making things more realistic the LA Mod 3.0. I have added a few vehicles and done some lighting. I now am able to add vehicles without looking at tutorials. I have laid out a plan to pretty much fix up 3.0. I contains a few bugs and unfinished pieces. I would like some help with learning my way around to fixing some of these bugs. I feel like this will give me a taste of a lot there is to modding. Here is my list, not really in any type of order, of bugs I have discovered and want to know how to fix, and my future plans after fixing the bugs to make my LA Mod the best I can make it and eventually create original work. 1:In the editor for my mod, whenever I click "Edit Children" my game CTD's. It works fine in other mods. 2: When pressing the siren command on most fire trucks, this message is given: (_LASirena1651):Error G__getvariable: expression This must have something to do with the siren script? I looked in there but could not find anything related to the message. 3: ENG 1, Old USAR, and ENG 7 in the eastern fire station have no sirens. (I know how to fix this) 4: The ambulances at the ambulance station south on the map park in front, outside of the vehicle bays, when given the toEMSstation command. 5: Battalion 1 has not tofirestation command. I do not know if it just does not have the command or if it needs to be linked to a spot? I do not have any knowledge on vehicle placement on map. 6: EMS 2, the supervisor truck parked at the hospital, has the same problem as the ambulances at the EMS station where the vehicle parks in the incorrect spot. In this case it is not into a building or vehicle bay, but still does not return to correct position. These next few things are just general plans for the future after fixing these bugs. I want to get better at 3D modeling and lighting and try to make LA Mod as realistic as possible, vehicle wise, until I get into scripting. Basically what Itchboy did with City of Angels. 1: Remove LAX Ambo and Crash truck. I feel they have no purpose on the map and are unrealistic. 2: Update/Create/Fix Vehicle Animations. Such as vehicles with deployable flood lights. and doors that open on the wrong side or not at all, and even some Mobile command slideouts. 3: Update/Create/Add New and realistic vehicles rather than the unrealistic ones currently present in the mod. I have already added the LAPD CVPI, FPI, and FPIU, and updated their lights to a (relatively) realistic standard. I know this is a lot and I have a long way to go but I am very interested and would like all the help I can get. On a side note: For 3D modeling in the future, I have Zmod 3, but all tutorials on the site and YT are in 2. Is EM4 modding with Zmod 3 possible? Thank You for the help in advance!
  21. Okay, I could do this, where would I get the vehicle files for an Explorer. another mod? I've tried watching videos on moving vehicles from one mod to another but they are confusing lol. Thank You! Much Appreciated, I will use this!

Well, I have created the mod package in EM4 editor and I basically dragged the rest of the files from the LA mod into it (to use as a starting point, I dont know if that was the best idea but...), will adding a vehicle basically teach me how to replace in the process or get the idea? If thats the case then well go with adding a new vehicle.
