It's been slow going for progress from me. I've sadly, not been able to do very much. This is one of the 87-89 Mack Pumpers, early WIP. More to come in the future, but I make no promises.11 points

It's been a while. First thing I can say is that we've been gifted new spec found. MotoStringer got us a new McCormick ambulance variation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vW1o6nyKWko This guy is legit as hell, if you're interested in these retro tapes, give him a sub. Another update is progress is coming really slowly. Recently, I began to texture the civilian vehicles and vehicle bases for additional units. This one's special - I've been meaning to get one made to replace the Jeep model we already have. Texture and miscellaneous parts by Yankee43. He did a great job and I hope you guys can give him some love too. With all this in mind, I'll cut back the traffic set even more. I'm not really getting as far as I want to with progress. I'll revert back to my original concept of replacing only the bare minimum, or else I'll never complete these assets, at the current rate of work.8 points

Hello gents! I hope everything is well for you. I just wanted to drop a quick post to apologize for both the very slow progress on the sub-mod and my absence. During the last three months or so, I've been fully committed to learning C# and SQL coding for a (hopefully) new job, which has been taking up a significant chunk of my free time. As a result, I haven't been able to dedicate as much time as I would love to this project. Rest assured, tho, that I haven't forgotten about it. I'm still working on it albeit at a slower pace. I appreciate your patience and understanding. Until next time, gents! - LibertyWings5 points

Todays NYstalgia Spec post. Very few 1991 caprices were purchased by the NYPD and they were bought in two batches. The first batch of 1991 Caprices had the same striping from the original 1973 design. The second batch introduced the NYC POLICE livery which was used until 1993 with some variations through the 3 years3 points

In a hillarious bit of luck, an authentic NYC DOT tow truck has been found in an unlikely place - the original Men In Black film.3 points

Great looking station, I love it. It will be nice have the Miami Dade and Miami Beach units on the map.3 points

Hey buddy, glad to see your work. I found a pair of Facebook Groups that maybe can help you. This first one is about LA Area emergency servicies history: https://www.facebook.com/groups/616293649975537/ This one is about the Pacific Coast Fire Apparatus. Maybe a too big, but from some Federal and State Agencies/Servicies, can bring you some help: https://www.facebook.com/groups/457459961500699 Cheers buddy! Keep it up1 point

Just like with any other mod that is out there, you wait for the next version release, and download it. And before you ask, there is no release date.1 point

So the mod takes place in 1993, At least as a starting off point. In 1987 the NYPD switched to DAO stainless steel revolvers (Smith and Wesson Model 64 with a bobbed hammer) which were used until 1993 The NYPD field tested ruger semi autos prior to 1993 with special units getting them before patrol. These were all recalled prior to the roll out of Semi autos (Sig, Glock and S&W) which were rolled out in the July 1993 police academy class which hit the streets in January of 1994. During this time ESU had Mini14s and MP5s. No NYC agency ever issued a Beretta pistol to police officers. Transit is a different story. The chief of police for transit who later became the commissioner for the NYPD and the Chief for the LAPD modernized Transit faster then most agencies in the NYC area, Introducing Glocks in 1990 which caused a disagreement between Transit and the NYPD and as a result the NYPD denied them use of the department range1 point

If you want to get more firefighters when you call the engine from the fire station you'll need to edit the script that is related to the firestation depends on the mod but for LA mod it's called "LAFireStation.script"1 point

Hello guys, I know it's been almost two months since you last heard from me and I'm sorry for about taking so long. I'm not much of a speaker, so I'm going straight to the point. Due to RL circumstances, the development of this sub-mod is temporarly on hiatus. Before you ask: no, I'm not abandoning the project. That would mean waste weeks of work and fatigue so nah, not going to happen. But for the moment... well... I'm not in the right mood to continue. Don't worry, as I promised earlier on the thread, I WILL deliver. But for now, I'm taking some rest from modding. Stay safe and I wish you well1 point

I am very deilghted to see all this new stuff coming up. Again, thank you for doing the work on this. Regarding the modern stuff, I am not sure if I will be doing those vehicles any time soon. It's definitely on the board for more potential additions and even new commands.1 point

Thanks for reporting this softlock condition. This was something I totally missed and I'm now looking into it. Can't thank you enough for the finds you're making. You are the man. The Lima ambulance has been known for a while but I wanted to do the Chevy instead of the Ford. I think I'll just do that one and add it together with the lineup even if the timeline is unspec. I'd like to have more content in here even if it's pushing the timeline quite a bit. I don't know how far I want to take the concept. It should be easy to have ELS be toggled too.1 point

Back from another long hiatus from the forums to give my interpretation of Montana statutes, cause I'm weird. Montana vehicle code 61-9-227 seems to imply that not having a siren is what differentiates a volunteer firefighter's POV from an authorized emergency vehicle. (61-9-227. Blinker-type or revolving red light on certain private vehicles -- use -- identification card, MCA (mt.gov)) Montana vehicle code 61-9-401 "Horns, Security Alarms, and Warning Devices" describes the conditions for use of a siren as this. (61-9-401. Horns, security alarms, and warning devices, MCA (mt.gov)) So, I dug a little more. I found Montana code 61-8-102, which provides a definition.. of a definition of what Montana considers an authorized emergency vehicle. (61-8-102. Uniformity of interpretation -- definitions, MCA (mt.gov)) However, the statute that specifies a volunteer firefighter being permitted a light on the front or top of his vehicle does seem to provide a description that wouldn't allow the vehicle to meet the conditions for having a siren and being classified as an emergency vehicle. Montana code 61-9-402 describes the signaling equipment for an authorized emergency vehicle as such. (61-9-402. Audible and visual signals on police, emergency vehicles, and on-scene command vehicles -- immunity, MCA (mt.gov)) The raw legal definition of an authorized emergency vehicle as described in Title 7, Chapter 33 appears to not have been published online or is hiding in a section of the statute that is marked as reserved, because I went through every single article in the chapter and couldn't find it. So, in short, I don't think that POVs in Montana would meet the other signaling requirements of the law to be able to be classed as an authorized emergency vehicle and then use a siren. Though I am tempted now to contact the Montana Highway Patrol and find out. Hope this is helpful. Otherwise I typed a lot to look like a moron.1 point

Since time came to move on with my lifSUBMOD, I hereby present to you the next patrol car in line. Representing the future of Gotham's most élite crime fighting force, the 2016 Charger for the Major Crimes Unit division comes to you in all her beauty plus a fresh, brand new paint job to differentiate she from her older but venerables and aging CVPIs. Ingame implementation will soon follow1 point

For those who are still following or for those brand new: bonus eye-candy today! Are you tired of that old, boring mid 2000s era tablet loading screen? Of course you are, so that's why I provided you guys a brand new loading screen drawing ispiration from RL police computer screen. And besides, wouldn't it be dull to play a Gotham-themed submod without any extra flavour? Hope you like it!1 point

Why can't the local FD move out at night? When I call them at night, no volunteer fireman comes. I always have to call the fire brigade from the neighboring towns1 point

No, you get downvoted into oblivion if you do anything other than look at the occasional screenshot. I have been following this thread on and off for years. Don't hold your breath.1 point

I get both sides But the minor once in a while glitch I had was not enough for me to stop enjoying it. I lost my computer so I am rebuilding everything ad I missed this one. Put a play at your own risk label on it and let people enjoy it as it was, no one is forcing you to play it if you're unhappy. I know life happens I had a major life shift too I get it. It also irks me when someone starts a project, stops moving to another, and never finishes the first. If you do that then don't say anything I hate getting excited about something for nothing. (like the NY MOD)1 point

Hes been working on this for like 3 years, in the last 3 years hes also done a ton of other projects, thats why i am saying they need to work on 1 at a time instead of 50 at a time It still doesnt make sense why they had to completely get rid of the montana mod download link1 point
-
NGL I am, like many others, tired of all these mods that people start developing, then drop the project to work on another one, and that is a continuous cycle. I dont get why the download link had to be removed, let us play the old montana mod while we wait for the new one to finish if it ever gets finished.1 point

Anyway still sharing if people would like a version to play. If you google montana mod v2 it will come up with a link to a steam conversation with a link to the mod if people would like a copy and I can no longer share. The unfortunate thing with a game like EM4 is it attracts a lot of people who like the rules too much...1 point

Here is the inital set of volunteer firefighter POV's for the mod. These are all real-life vehicles owned by members of our community. No lights on these, still working on that. If you would like your real-life vehicle featured in the mod, feel free to post your vehicle make, model, color and any light setup you are running. You don't need to tell me your location or license plate or anything that can dox you. I lack another 4 out of the 10 I need. Credits to Carman and LA mod team for the Jeep Grand Chrokee. Yankee43 for the Ford Ranger. EA Games for the Dodge Ram conversion. Special thanks to SlateDragon for allowing use of the white F150 POV from West Falls mod.1 point

Looking back on a year ago, I will admit to over-reacting by prematurely saying that I'd quit modding. It was an emotional response that I should have handled better. It would have been far more rational if I released a statement saying that I'd be taking a break from modding to clear my head. That's what I ultimately ended up doing anyway, and clearing my head indeed produced good results. In keeping with that spirit, I've finally finished putting lights on the fire and EMS units, with help from hqueen. Yay attachments and smileys work again The Chevy battalion chief is lighted, its just that the picture was taken on a bad "frame" where the lights happen to be flashing off.1 point

Ford F650, work in progress. Side portion of model created using MikeyPI's F350 model. This truck is destined to be a DNRC brush truck or engine. Still not sure what setup to give it, most likely a wildland configuration. No work has been made with the heal script, I might just release it with a rudimentary setup and give it a more accurate setup at a later date.1 point
