  4. Some mods have exe setups like the LA mod. All you need to do is run the exe. What the exe does is "send" the contents of an e4mod file to the Mods folder. You no longer need to install the e4mod file. However, you must tell the program where the mods folder of your game is. However, the most common form of mod installation is to simply copy paste the entire folder you are given into the Mods folder.

  7. I know how to download a ZIP and install a ,e4mod using Steam. But what do I do to install a .rar file? THe MOD installer seems to want a .e4mod file not a rar. When I double click a rar file the PC doesn't know what to do. PLease help THanks
  8. i'm trying to get the .e4mod for the LA Mod. When I get the downlaod for v2.1 it only gives me a exe file not a .e4mod Can anyone point me in the right direction? When I ran the EXE it created a new game in the /sixteen ton sub directory but no executable and not accessible under STeam. Can anyone help me please. THank you
  9. LA 2.5 is unfortunately an Emergency 3 file. What you need is LA Mod 2.1 which is the same mod but for Emergency 4.
  10. im new to this thread but need some assistance/guidance. My grandson uses Steam and loves playing Emergency 4. He asked me to see if I could help him getting some MODS installed. He has a directory under /steam/steamapps/common/Emergency 4/Mods. We downloaded a file Like Los Angeles Mod V2.5 (a zip file) and unzipped it and there is a file Los Angeles V 2.5.emod. What Im looking to know is what to do next to get it to laod within the steam app. I'm pretty computer savvy so I'm ready for help. Please Richard276@aol.com
  11. @d.seed when making a model check the backface culling box and the ambiant oclusion box. It will show you witch way your polygons are facing with the backface culling one and, the ambiant oclusion box will show your edges much much better. See the attached image!

  20. To my eyes, it looks Asian like a cabover Isuzu or Mitsubishi truck. It could also be an American M1078 but that's just me stretching it.
  21. After two weeks of holidays in Thailand I'm all refreshed and fit for some more modelling. My plan to work on the Rosenbauer during my vacation was hindered by me forgetting to load it onto the laptop. Instead I started a new Model. There will be a few models with this cab. hopefuly I'll get the Rosenbauer done soon too. Points to anyone that can guess what it's going to be.
  22. The software that I use is FRAPS, however it does not come for free. OBS is another software that can be used, but I dont know if it has a screencap feature.
